I have a basic Cateye wireless computer I tried installing on my Omnium cargobike. Unfortunately it doesn't work due to succeeding the max distance (70cm..) between the analog sensor and head unit.

So : I want a very basic (speed, odometer, maybe temperature and time of day). Preferably cheap and wireless. Alternatively cheap and GPS (bit worried about battery life with that).

Any suggestions are welcome!

Was gonna check out the hidden trails in UP but I got there too late.

It was a nice, chill, solo night ride though.

Took my bike to Halfords on 12th March to get it repaired.

They kept saying it would be repaired, but they never got back to me.

I had to chase them so many times just to get the story that the supplier said nothing to them. I can believe that, but why they never bothered chasing it up when that was their own self-imposed deadline is beyond me.

Eventually yesterday I asked to my bike back as they were never going to fix the issue.

loop done! I never rode my up this particular forest road to the and maybe I now know why: Some part of it is really steep - or I'm just unfit. But woah did I drive on my personal limit for quite a while!!

BUT: I did it! And it feels awesome!

The 10min downhill was a lot of fun, for sure! But next time I'll try the other side of the mountain again to drive up.

This image captures a breathtaking landscape scene dominated by a majestic mountain adorned with verdant trees. The mountain sits as the central figure against a backdrop of an expansive mountain range that stretches into the distance, enveloping the scene in a serene embrace of natural grandeur. The foreground is lush with grass, hinting at a vibrant ecosystem at the base of these geological giants. Overhead, the sky presents itself in a captivating display of blue, adorned with wisps of white clouds, adding a tranquil atmosphere to the scenery. The presence of a variety of trees, including larches and spruces, suggests a richly biodiverse temperate coniferous forest, possibly indicating the location to be within or akin to the iconic Alps. The area exudes a sense of untouched wilderness, with its highland terrain and dense forests painting a picture of a pristine natural world. The overall composition of the image, with its harmonious blend of sky, mountains, and forest, evokes a feeling of peacefulness and awe, inviting the observer into a moment of reflection on the beauty and complexity of the natural landscape.

Habt Ihr Tipps?

Bit of a design fail when I choose to avoid the “healthy street” intended for bikes because there are so many speed bumps to slow down cars (without cutouts for bikes) and go for the parallel no speed bump side street instead. For local folks (1st ave north of 85th in Greenwood—I’ve been diverting to 2nd instead). #seabikes #bike #biketooter #cycling

What's that lean, green, pedal-powered machine on Chicago streets? And who's inside it? It’s a velomobile, and the man behind the wheel is Greek Orthodox monk Father Ephraim, who moved to the Northwest Side after five years at a religious commune in remote Alaska. And who wouldn’t want to navigate Chicago streets in a vehicle not much taller than a fire hydrant? https://chicago.suntimes.com/transportation/2024/04/05/velomobile-father-ephraim-greek-orthodox-monk-chicago-streets

A new project's coming soon! Yes it's big enough to ride on. It's one of the best things I've ever built.

It's already built and Patrons & YT Channel Members will get the video early next week. Full video goes out on the 16th.

Ride a : you'll save a ton of money over a car, you'll generally go faster while being less stressed, you won't pollute anymore and it will be good for your health.

Plus it'll make your butt real firm.

Your (prospective) partner(s) will surely appreciate.

Cargo bikes are the future of deliveries!

I've been saying this for some time now. Never thought I'd see a US department say the same — but the NYC Department of transportation just did! And it's not the first time I've seen them post some really good stuff about bikes. This gives me hope.
