Mel Blanc was born today (May 30) in 1908. Truly the man of a thousand voices. For over 50 years, he was the voice of Looney Tunes.

Bugs Bunny is my favorite cartoon character ever, plus ALL the other great voices Mel did - Daffy, Porky, Sam, the rest. Legend.

New episode! What does a pulp hero from the 1930s have in common with a bunch of meddling teenagers? They're our choices for this episode's theme of "classic characters!"

Mike checked out The Shadow 1, while Jessika picked up Scooby Doo, Where Are You 83!

From the mid-2000s to the mid-2010s, I was a daily and weekly news cartoonist for the Dutch NU.nl site and the Dutch NRC(.next) newspaper.

I chose 3D graphics as the medium, because it was novel for news cartoons, and it allowed me to build a library of reusable characters, props and decors.

Back then I worked with 3ds Max, and rendered with V-Ray.

We found this cool homage to his favourite cartoonists by @misterbrunelle in which he presents a portrait of himself that he’s drawn in each of 30 different cartoonists’ styles! How many of them do you know?

Through the mailinglist of the Nib: Cartoonists for Palestine

"Comics have no walls nor borders, and the youngness of our medium represents an opportunity to reject the boundaries that were assigned to us. All around the world, in newspapers, magazines and on mobile phone screens, comics speak about the most important topics of the day. We are not powerless. Through comics, we can shape the narratives told about ourselves and our world—and in that way, we hope to provoke change.

Recent events are extreme, brutal, and shocking, but they are part of a continuum–the long ideological project of settler colonialism that requires the systematic denial and destruction of indigenous peoples. Now is the time to build something new and different."
