Happy Christmas Eve everyone!
Spending time with the family today.
Looking forward to good food, relaxing and opening presents. Have a wonderful holiday season with the people who are important to you and care about you.
I made this stir fry the other day and it tastes good but something about the noodle texture is a little off (I probably overcooked them), and because I'm so burnt out, I can't eat it.
The wherewithal to soldier through overcooked noodle texture is gone unfortunately. Maybe my mum will eat it. I don't like to waste food.
I really am so tired. I should just stick to safe foods. All I want is the easiest food.
It's known by many wonderful names such as 'Pili Pili', 'Bird's eye', 'Peri Peri' or just 'Piri Piri' but it's the same hot chili that is good both fresh or dried. Just a few more weeks before harvest…
The Food industry puts sugar in everything these days, including fish. FISH! They know sugar can cause addiction, so they use it to sell more, always more...
If Scotland is to keep its hard won reputation for high quality #FoodandDrink the world can trust, there should be no confusion about the place the produce has come from.

Chris Elliott, professor of food safety at the Institute for Global Food Security, Queen’s University, Belfast, @qubfoodprof , says: “The Westminster Government is selling out our food and farming standards for the sake of wider deals, like financial services to other nations.”
So, I just tried Yorkshire tea for the first time, and I kind of hate it. It was definitely not what I expected. For such a popular tea, I am very surprised at how dark and bitter it is. I'm going to give away my box because I can't get through 100 bags of it.
A friend told me that they thought it was so popular in the UK because it was the cheapest and most available tea for a long time, though it was of poor quality. They said it was seen as the working class tea, and that it became culturally embedded over time. Does anyone know if this is true?
We have an amazing #dairy sector in Scotland but we have lost crucial infrastructure; generic food labelling doesn't let us #SupportLocalScotland; and supermarkets are the only winners when it comes to prices.
The UK Government and DEFRA are deaf to the cries for positive change.
Scotland's Government, our #FoodandDrink sector, our communities have to come together, to embed a commitment to local produce into our food systems #keepScotlandtheBrand
