My #GameBoy case from when I was little. The #console yellowed a bit with the years, but it still works fine, from when things were made to last and tech wasn't so finicky. I didn't have many games, so I beat all the ones I had. Mostly Super Mario Land series, Wario Land, R-Type, Metroid, etc. That Prince of Persia game was also good fun and very difficult. I don't collect for the console anymore. It's just a token of my childhood now. #Nintendo#videogames
Just in case you need some pretty beefy save codes for a 34 year old #gameboy game:
ULY6 E6DF - First Town
T61G 47FB - Second Town
F0FU FR96 - Third Town
PFXQ WZCA - Fourth Town
PFXY 0ZGM - Fifth Town
DAJG PL19 - Final Town (right before the final boss)
Dungeon crawler concept for the #gameboy
I'm not very experienced with #pixelart and the render resolution is a bit low, but I kind of like it. What do you think?
The article dives into how well many peripherals and accessories can be emulated. It focuses exclusively on officially licensed hardware that software interacted with. In brief:
Most stuff is emulated just fine (37/47)
A small % needs just a bit more work (9/47)
Only 1 item is completely unemulated
We've done a lot of work over the years, and it shows!
I wrote an article about the 3 games and just how good they are. Imo, they're extremely underrated. I really wanna play more games similar to it but I can't find much in the way of isometric collectathons(?) at all. Looking for any suggestions. Apologies if this isn't the right spot. GBA is retro right?...
This week's game is Little Master: Raikuban no Densetsu, a monster-focused strategy RPG brought to you by some of the people who would go on to make Okage: Shadow King. If you're familiar with Majin Tensei, this is essentially like that but cuter and simpler!
A couple of days ago, I posted some initial thoughts and rough testing of the FunnyPlaying GBC.
I decided to write up a full blog post with some additional details and potential alternatives for playing Game Boy and Game Boy Color on modern hardware.
ares v138 released (ares-emu.net)
ares is a cross-platform, open source, multi-system emulator, focusing on accuracy and preservation....
Anyone know any games similar to the Spyro GBA ones? Isometric collectathons? I need more like this.
