@RichardJMurphy the #Greens aren't getting airtime because, as you know, the owners of the British media (and I explicitly include the BBC) see the Greens as a much more serious threat to their status and privilege than #ReformUK.
The #Greens are hoping for a win in the Bunwell by-election, strengthening their chances of winning the Waveney Valley constituency in the General Election.
I would say one of the big patterns of the night is the swing to independents… double the numbers that were standing for re-election, compared to more like 20% boosts to each of Labour and the Lib Dems.
I’d be interested to know how many of the new independent councillors formerly sat as Labour (and defected over, eg. party position on the Middle East) or as Tory councillors (and essentially defected from a sinking ship)
The Alba Party was referred to as 'Bluekip' by some. With their only MSP voting yesterday with Tory and Labour in favour of bringing down the SNP/ Green government, it's difficult to see how Alba can rise above its current 1% in the polls.
if it is the defense support for #ukraine or the question if #russia#china spying is a "bad thing", the electorate of the #german#green party reliably takes the lead, while #farright#afd puts its tail between its legs (to stay with the image)
@patrickharvie I was intending on switching my vote in the general election from SNP to green (as I can't in conscience vote for Joanna Cherry).
Green always got my councillor vote and second list vote in Scotland elections.
If the green party go for no confidence and side with the Tories you will also lose my vote for good.
Just so you know.
Sincerely
