So thankfully the strange 3-way pickup selector switch anomaly on the Danelectro 59M is covered under warranty. Taking it in this week to be shipped to the service department in Vancouver for a new switch. #guitars#gearsquad#repair
Messing around with the Keeley Angry Orange distortion/fuzz pedal. Great clarity with hearing every string on open chords in major fuzz settings. Quite impressive. Lots of tonal possibilities. #guitars#gearsquad
The 3-way toggle pickup selector switch in the Danelectro 59M is acting up. It will randomly switch to middle position, almost like it’s spring loaded. The crappy tire electrical contact cleaner seems to have helped, although I see a switch replacement coming soon. #guitars#gearsquad
I’ve created a music-focused alt: @matteblack — feel free to follow me there. I’ll post about metal but also a lot of other adjacent and semi-adjacent genres too (entirely likely anything tbh).
I’ll probably start sharing some of my own music too but don’t let that put you off! #Music#Metal#Guitars
Does anybody know where I can get genuine Gibson parts (specifically bridge/pickup covers/tuning pegs) for an LP Custom Red Wine?
The local guitar shop is struggling to get them and I'm not convinced the ones I can find online are actually genuine; I was hoping to sell it and buy something a bit more appropriate for someone that only plays at home but the metal parts are quite corroded and polishing is not going to cut it... #Guitars#Music#MusicalInstruments
There's gonna be so much new & cool guitar gear out of #NAMM in the next week, but nothing is gonna have me excited as #Yamaha finally revamping their Pacifica range of #guitars.
@samvarma Here’s one you might dig… my 2019 Schecter US Custom shop PT (tele). Nick Johnston spec roasted maple neck, stainless steel frets. Lightly relic’d body. Was like “I want the Johnston neck on Robben Ford’s telecaster”. They didn’t want to do it but finally agreed.
A year later they put out the official “Nick Johnston PT Model”.
@Theblueone This was the first electric guitar of so many people, and for good reason — they're excellent for the price! I always enjoyed playing them.
