Morning Mastodonians!

Well, here it is again, as unwanted as ever - Monday. It wasn't a bad weekend, even though it rained each day at least a little bit, making it 16 out of 20 weekends so far this year. I did manage to squeeze in a mowing of the lawn to at least show someone lives here. We played on Sunday, getting in a whole "game", which was fun. It makes 8 games out of probably 20 for this campaign legacy game.

Not much planned for ,. My wife drove herself in this morning, freeing up 90 minutes or so of my day. I need to make some phone calls. Get someone to give us a price on trimming the trees in the backyard. I should call the doctor's office to talk about my problematic knees. They aren't terrible but they aren't right either. Tonight watch the first Mad Max with @adrienne. The upcoming movie looks amazing and I think it would be fun to rewatch the entire series. @movies

Ah it's Cannes season, where Variety tracks the lengths of each standing ovation, because that's a barometer of...something I guess.

Will the 11 minute ovation for feminist body horror movie "The Substance" be beat? Who knows? Who cares?

What poor reporters have to actually time the ovations and report back? is it the one filing the story? An intern? Who decided that was worthy of the story? That's what I want to know.

We cancelled Prime awhile ago, so yesterday we decided to get Apple TV+ as we've never had it.

I am VERY aware of all the shows to watch- I've been making a list for months from friends, reviews, recommendations.

My question is, what good are ? I have no clue & would like to NOT scroll for a zillion years to see what they have.
a plus, but all recs appreciated.
