J'ai une question aux experts du développement web.
J'ai une appli qui gère ma liste de disques. Jusque là tout va bien. Pour mieux la gérer, j'ai imprimé des étiquettes avec QR Code, pour chaque disque, avec un code unique, que j'ai collé au dos des pochettes de disques. Pour aller plus vite et me passer d'une appli de scan de QR Codes, j'ai simplement développé dans mon appli de gestion de disques, une page qui fait ce taf. J'ai juste une zone pour scanner les étiquettes et ça fait la mise à jour dans la base de données. Maintenant, je voudrais transformer cette page en #PWA.
Des recommandations pour faire un truc rapide et simple ?
the year is 2024. I now have all of my favorite social media services on my dock as cute little web apps. Sandboxed, snappy, and with full push notification support. Each one is able to freely experiment with UI/UX to push beyond what "native" UI frameworks offer (with Phanpy being a stunning example of what that freedom unlocks). And they can all publish changes dozens of times a day with no overhead and no app review to slow them down.
Oooh, #GraphiteEditor has the node graph functionality, which allows you to compose vector objects from the primitives like fill, stroke, transform and live filters in a visual manner!
Node graph interface and filters both give me this nice break-out I needed after LPEs in #Inkscape. Don't get me wrong: that program is THE legend, developers are masters of vectors, and it's purely native Gtk toolkit on which application is built. Right now, their priority is CMYK support, so follow if you're into printing.
I just love to experiment with shiny new software that's #OpenSource, especially one that uses #RustLang and #web to its advantage.
Watch 'em apply circular repeat filter on a mere line to produce this fun sparkle effect. (It is Graphite's official channel, by the way. Wish they were on Mastodon?)
#PWA's are pretty spiffy indeed. This is my own music player running as a desktop app, with a dock icon, and integration to the OS media controls (including media keys). I didn't have to write any platform specific code to achieve this. The same codebase is usable in the web browser and as a mobile app with no extra cost.
Massive thanks to all browser devs who have implemented the necessary APIs and tooling for PWAs.
Elektrofoni is starting to look pretty nice, but there's still plenty of work to do before I can release a 1.0.

Nikt już nie pamięta, że oczekiwane przez prawo UE miało być zarówno dopuszczenie innych niż WebKit silników renderujących, jak i dopuszczenie innych browserów do PWA.
Apple chce utrzymać monopol sklepu za wszelką cenę. Tu nie chodzi o technologię, a o marketing.
P.S. Nie daję linka do źródła, bo powiela idiotyczne tezy i ściemę Apple. Ale fakty są takie, jakie są. PWA jako apka z ikoną i powiadomieniami TYLKO na Safari/WebKit...

I developed the GeoJPG web app as a public service and part of my way to ‘pay it forward’. This is not a commercial product of any nature. I am making this freely available simply because I can.
GeoJPG is not available in any app store. To install it for offline use, open the web app link, tap “Yes” and then carefully follow the instructions you will see.
While I cannot overstate how happy I am that #Apple backed down and will continue to allow #PWA on #iOS in the EU, I don’t trust this peace. 🤔 Somehow it feels like they merely moved the phase-out to iOS 18. Let’s hope that won’t happen. 😅
For now a lot of motivation to work on my apps returned and hey—seems like my iPhone won’t turn into an expensive paper weight once 17.4 drops. 😉😅

Apple has given up and announced that in the European Union version of iOS 17.4 'web apps' will be able to be installed on the homescreen and work offline. As the developer of the web apps FindMeSAR and GeoJPG, this is great news. #WebApp#PWA#ProgressiveWebApp#webDev

2- Write one code for both iOS and Android
With Apple removing PWA support in iOS for EU users, businesses now have to:
1- Write a PWA app for Android users and iOS users outside the EU
2- Write a native app for iOS users in the EU
