#Tomatoes into the ground, though we could still add to the second row. Will acquire more this week maybe.
Also K replaced the #thyme that didn't make it through the winter, and the #rosemary that didn't survive in an indoor pot past December. Those dark days are tough for it, but we use it very heavily anticipating it won't last.
I think I've only twice managed to get rosemary to last to be replanted in spring.
I've been meaning to rewatch this movie. It's been a long time. What movie is on your list? One you've seen but want to see again, or one you've never seen?
Rosemary promotes balance and clarity, essential under a Libra Moon. Its aroma can sharpen focus during the Last Quarter Moon's reflection period. For anxiety relief, sip rosemary tea or add its oil to bathwater.
After 5.5hrs in the proofer @ 26°C and 2hrs so far in the fridge @ 7°C. I'm aiming for 2 non-instant coffees and only before midday.
(Swoon warning: Sit down now if feeling sensitive.)
And trying #Rosemary and Sage herb teas at other times.
It's better than it sounds.
Rosemarinic acid is an ester of caffeic acid the binary oracles tell me.
Mayhap that I get some of the "feel alive" better living through chemistry with these herbal teas.
The phrase, "An ester of caffeic acid" can be repeated as required.
Weather's changing towards the cold as today fades away. Probably a killing frost for the first few weeknights this coming week.
That ominous forecast spurred me to action – so I dug up the last of the #potatoes still in the ground, and uprooted the #rosemary to try and get it through the winter indoors.
My luck with over-wintering the #rosemary isn't great, probably succeeding only 30-40% of the times I try. Problems are usually a combo of drying out too much and limited light.
The lesson I've learned is to use it very heavily these next few weeks, while it's doing fine. Lots of pasta sauces, focaccia, baked cheese and lamb. Those are where it shines the most.
Open to hear about your favourite rosemary applications. Gotta strike while the iron is hot.
Just out of the oven - multi-seeded sourdough using a rye starter, 15% of scalded home milled Spelt flour and 5% scalded home milled cracked rye wheat, 5% scalded home milled rye flour, very strong white Canadian flour plus chopped rosemary, lemon zest and dried flowers. Using Spelt flour always produces a cracking loaf for me! #driedflowers#sourdough#bread#breadposting#spelt#flour#milling#canadian#rosemary#rye
