Maybe if I slowed down and paid attention to more things, maybe I'd enjoy games like these more.

It was definitely cool to play an 80s anime, though.

ALRIGHT HERE WE GO DEPLOY!!

Congratulations to the Arianespace team and everyone included to make this mission possible and a success. you all are great minds!

You keep Europe on the Edge of tomorrow. And I appreciate your hard work! Im looking forward on pushing Europe further! 😉

But this goes also for all of you here on the Fedi, dont hold back, Europe needs you too!
🇪🇺❤️💪🏾

The only thing that's makes this launch a success is the Separation of the satellites, then we all witnessed a part of Europes space flight history.
Im sad but also very happy, and of course I wonder what great missions are ahead with the Ariane 6❤️ 🇪🇺 💪🏾

SRS Bogavante now with ink and base colour. Being a lobster was not going to be of another hue than red. Now it looks like a Belgian “ligne claire” comic. Tomorrow I’ll add light and shadow and details. Maybe even a little Easter egg…

Why isn't there so much engagement about the Launch??? (compared to Artemis) :blobfoxangry:
It's the LAST one! :blobsob:

Zoidtes,
@Zoidtes@mastodon.online avatar

@MagicLike Because sadly Space is not seen as something important in the mind of many Europeans. Which is super sad!

You sill get more people together to debate "Other important topics" rather than the most futuristic progress in human history.

I think its a task of every European citizen to push this even further.

We are Europe, and we have a Road to Space and we go this all together. 🇪🇺

Arianespace and ESA are saying goodbye to the beloved Ariane 5

Its never bad to say goodbye and to progress. The Ariane 5 was a great rocket that pushed Europes space program further than before.

Im looking forward for the Ariane 6. Im exited for the first launch which I can guess, will be awesome.

But now

Go Ariane5
Go ESA

Launch will be in about T:-15:00 minutes.

Gross. I complain a lot about Starlink satellites screwing up the visible sky, but turns out they're massively screwing up the radio sky too: https://cps.iau.org/news/new-radio-astronomical-observations-confirm-unintended-electromagnetic-radiation-emanating-from-large-satellite-constellations/

@sundogplanets @tehstu “SpaceX had the largest number of satellites — more than 2000 — in orbit at the time of the observations.” 🙀 Over 2000? I don’t know how many Earth satellites I thought were up there but definitely didn’t think one company could have up to 2000 satellites floating around. 💀

Work in progress. The SRS Bogavante. A planetary research vessel based on a… eh… lobster “Bogavante is Spanish for lobster” Yesterday I watched a lobster on TV and I though “What a nice shape for a spaceship”. Now I need to ink and colour it.

"The Moon’s low gravity and slow rotation mean that a space elevator could be built with materials already available. The honeycomb fiber called M5 is lighter and stronger than Kevlar; a ribbon 3 centimeters wide and 0.02 millimeter thick could support 2,000 kilograms on the lunar surface or 100 climbers with a mass of 600 kilos each, evenly spaced along the ribbon. We could build a lunar elevator right now."

Navigation system update! Instead of using a fixed point to calculate coordinates, it now uses the ship as the center point. So the coordinates and target indicator update in real time. Navigation is similar to what is used in Star Trek funny enough.
