@GeriatricGardener@Homoevolutis0@GW I absolutely agree that the mainstream Democrats are terrified of scaring voters,, and they are convinced the way to calm voters is to hew to the meritocratic, market based approach as the solution to all our problems. My take: they are (mostly) willing to support women's health legislation, family leave, LGBTQ+ , oppose overt racism and sexism, and support "reasonable" regulations, support climate action. MAJOR difference from the #GOP, and worth supporting (in the absence of anything better)
But except for a few (such as #AOC & the #Squad) they are terrified of suggesting that the old economic shibboleths, or systemic bias, or existing conditions (eg poverty and all the stresses that imposes) are a problem, and so will be unable to craft the policies we need to improve conditions for just about everyone.
