So a few days ago I took a pic of a black colored #squirrel in my yard. Shortly afterward, a cooper's hawk nailed him, standing over him, holding him to the ground for several minutes. The squirrel seemed a little big for the hawk, and kept struggling, so the hawk just stood on the squirrel, seemingly wondering what now.
I tried to get a little closer and the hawk took off, and so did the squirrel.
Anyway, that squirrel has emptied my bird feeder three times in three days now.
No good deed goes unpunished. #regrets
Yeah. #squirrel spit #tomato. #gardening (huge tomato, too... looks like at least 6 gone today, looks like I am picking them green unless the dog gets lucky with his patrols)
It's silly time for squirrels around here, protecting their babies and territories.
Lots of squabbling going on and I can not guarantee your safety in those dark woods...
Honestly - don't mock my warning sign, you have been warned 😄
Last day of #vacation… saying goodbye to the #river & the #forest, and all the creatures I saw but didn’t take a photo of: here’s st0len images from the ‘net: swans, #squirrel, #muskrat, #weasel (or marter) … and coming back to my #cat!
