Today, I put a camera on the ground. These are not perfect photos but I found them hilarious. The adult Groundhog is a momma of four, and the second photo is one of them. The squirrel and Chipmunk also cracked me up. #critters#groundhog#squirrel#chipmunk#wildlife#funnyanimals#Ostdrossel
The #squirrels are now bringing the peanuts I put out for them on the fence each morning and burying them in the flower pots next to our back windows. Perhaps they’ve run out of stash spaces in the woods behind us? Making a return offering to show their appreciation? Subtly trying to communicate “enough with the peanuts already”?
This weekend’s arts&crafts project - Part 2 of 2:
a) Hands cleaned up & mounted on our back fence.
b) Peanuts anyone?
c) Did someone say peanuts?
d) Finally, Mr Scarface #Squirrel came & ate from the hands. We had to wait a while for that, seemed to freak out the other #squirrels. Maybe has a funny smell or it’s just a matter of skittish animals reacting to something new in their environment. But the biological imperative for food always wins out in the end 😁
