It's funny when you look back through your images folders and find a strange image totally out of context.
No idea when I took it, where I took it, or what on earth is going on 😲😄

Edinburgh in sunset/sunrise mode.
A beautiful city, with fabulous architecture and endless history, there are endless photo opportunities here, especially in that golden hour.

The light and dark of spring.
Suddenly there are flowers everywhere in the woods, new blossoms to attract the pollinators but some like up hide in the shadows - maybe a little shy at how pretty they are.

A great capture the other day, I was out looking for baby foxes but managed to get this deer family outing.
We have dad and mum with 2 kids bringing up the rear, so lovely to see 🙂

The sudden explosion of teeny baby bunnies around here is lovely to see.
Little grass eating fluff balls, including our own bin-bunny, happily living behind them while he can (before he gets too big 🐰)

Sunset, a wonderful time of day, it can be so magical to watch.
The sky doesn't always 'pop', but when it does it's worth getting a shot or two.

A run up to the fabulous Glen Coe, a little snow still on the tops, but mostly quite wet and dull, managed to get some shots off though.
Oddly every time I go neither Mr Campbell nor Sebastian are home...
I sometimes wonder if they really do live there 🤔

Given all this record breaking rain, I thought I may as well take some photos of a soggy feather

Finally - the first signs of spring as the bulbs start to pop through 😄

Dunstanburgh Castle
Once the largest castle in the county, it was built between 1313 and 1325 and was originally owned by Thomas, Earl of Lancaster, nephew of King Edward II.

In 1362, Dunstanborough passed into the hands of John of Ghent, the fourth son of King Edward III, who rebuilt the castle on a large scale. During the War of the Red and White Roses, Lancaster Castle was fired upon and destroyed.

Alnwick was raided on numerous occasions by Scottish armies. Malcolm III was defeated & killed here in 1093, & William the Lion was defeated & captured here in 1174. William Wallace also attacked Alnwick in 1297. Town walls and gates were constructed from 1434 onwards.
Named after the famous Sir Henry Hotspur (who has a football team named after him.. 😲)

Tigh Mor in the Trossachs still looking more autumnal than spring like.
The fabulous late sun casting warmth over the chilly vista.

Fabulous day at the Heritage in the rain, it's a wonderful place wherever the weather really.
Some 'fairy water' pics from the other day with the Braan quite high.

Close ups from today's find.
A Brown Long Eared Bat, found upstairs, sadly deceased.
No idea how he got there but should be hibernating somewhere nice and cosy at this time of year, not on a window sill behind the shutters ☹️

It could happen but there are strong pockets and the pine martens are helping - got to have faith 🙂
(Or start eating lots of grey squirrel pie)
