While we probably agree to not let computers and #AI take over geopolitics and play #WarGames, politicians are too likely to use #LLMs as shadow advisors.
Large Language Models are no reasoning machines, and while the simulation setup is rather complex, real-world complexity far exceeds the simulation.
Much more text is written on escalation than de-escalalation, creating a potential explanation for the models' escalation tendencies.

Registration has opened for this year's CircleDC #wargames & historical games convention. This year it's being held at the Planet Word Museum to allow for attendance to increase. I went last year and had a blast.
We had another game of Dirtside II, this time trying out a more infantry focused game. The take away is that I probably need more terrain. #wargames#wargaming
