Yearly reminder to charge all your portables, controllers, and anything with an internal battery at least once a year, or better yet, every 6 months.

This way you lower the risk of the batteries going bad and starting to bloat.
I had this happen with 4 PSP ones a couple of years ago, so I started taking precautions.

Excuse the mess, as this is the only place where I have more than a dozen outlets in the same spot. :blobcatscared:

@OutofPrintArchive I didn't know this was a thing. 😱

I haven't charged my PSP, Game Boy Advance SP, Game Boy micro, Etc. in years...

I should probably do that.

@OutofPrintArchive I'm surprised this series didn't take off more than it did.

I remember it being quite popular at the time of release. We got 3 of them on the PS1. I thought for sure it would become a big series on the PS2 and then nothing ever happened.

I wonder if Sony's purchase of Psygnosis had anything to do with it. I'm sure Colony Wars didn't rake in the money as much as the Wipeout series.

Judeau,

@OutofPrintArchive That's terrible. I assumed it was something like that though...

@OutofPrintArchive I haven't seen that video before. I'll definitely give it a watch.

Thanks for the link!

I finally reached Plat 1 for the first time since I started playing Magic in the latter half of All Will Be One. I'm glad to see that I'm getting better at the game pretty consistently, and maybe I can even break through the diamond wall this month. I'd be very happy with the result, considering that I'm playing a deck through Standard that has one rare I randomly pulled and is completely budget aside from it. I only spend some common and uncommon wildcards.

@To Congrats! Progress is certainly an excellent motivator.

@broximar That's great!

My local regional libraries have DVDS and Blurays to rent but have never had games.

I have even heard of some libraries having a tool section.

I love libraries! 🥰

Aye.

Judeau,

Judeau,

@richardtroupe Honestly I love the grit of non-accelerated Quake.

On both PC and Saturn the grittyness just added so much atmosphere. It's honestly my favorite way to enjoy the original.

I found and acquired an #Amiga 500, monitor, external disk drive, and (battery-corroded but hopefully fixable) 512 kB memory expansion. I'm new to Amiga, and the amount of information out there is OVERWHELMING, and seems to focus a lot on turning an Amiga into a 3.7 GHz PowerPC with 1 TB of RAM.

Assuming I wanted a #retrocomputing Amiga experience ... where should I start? What is some good exploration for a late-80s Amiga 500 setup with two floppies and 512 kB or 1 MB of RAM?

Judeau,
@Judeau@mas.to avatar

@elb Congrats! Sounds like you got a great lot.

I wish I could help, but I'm in a similar boat. I acquired quite a bit of Amiga stuff several years ago but then I moved and have not had time to unpack it and really dig in.

An Amiga 500 with the half meg Ram expansion will allow access to most of the classic library of Amiga software.

Things eventually moved on to the AGA chipset in the Amiga 1200, but you have the essentials to get you going!

Just finishing up at in .

This place is incredible! We worked our way through the story and actually managed to save everyone's memories!

So... you're welcome! :ablobcatwink:

It's an amazing experience though. Such a cool interactive . Each one is supposed to be different. I would love to someday check out the others.

Another shot of C Street. A theater is on the right that shows several crazy short films.
A diorama of the big hit Meow wolf arcade game ''Rat Battler II''! The main rat character is standing atop a pile of junk in front of a graffiti covered wall. Amongst the pile of junk are some brass knuckles a Game Boy a Game Boy Color and other random assorted items.

Finally beat Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and I don't know how I feel. A lot of fun game elements, but I think this is a "one and done" game for me.

Judeau,
@Judeau@mas.to avatar

@MrSujano I absolutely love Breath of the Wild and have no doubt that I will love Tears of the Kingdom just as much.

I haven't started it yet because I am trying to wrap up first. I'm so close! I'm on the final chapter.

Having said that, as much as I love Breath of the Wild I can't imagine playing back through it again. I sank hundreds of hours into that game and I just don't want to do that all over again.

I can totally understand being ''one and done''.

Import review for Ghost Squad on Wii from NGamer 18 - January 2008 (UK)

I have to add that I feel that they underrated this one, and seeing as how it scored 83%, that's saying someone.
To me, this is one of the very best light gun games ever made.

Judeau,

@OutofPrintArchive I think when Reiko Kodama passed away, that was sadly the end of the legacy talent at Sega. I believe everyone else has moved on to other studios.

On the bright side, they certainly are cultivating new talent with the Yakuza/ Like a Dragon games.

But yeah... I certainly do miss the innovative Sega of Yesteryear...

Had a bit of trouble getting to work this morning around 4:30AM.
I drive to work via small roads that twist and turn around fields and a nature preserve, as well as a small road next to a river.

Before I even got to the river, I encountered this.
At first I thought: "it's not too bad, I can grab my bike and lift it over the branches on the left".
But that was way harder than I thought.
When I got to the other side, I saw that half the tree actually had come down over the road...

Same picture as the first one, just a little clearer.
Once on the other side, I turned around to snap a couple of pictures of the real issue. Half of the tree had snapped in two and came down over the road. The diameter of the tree must be close to a about a meter.
Same picture from the other side, just a little more to the right.

Judeau,

@OutofPrintArchive About 2 weeks ago we had a big storm in our area that knocked down lots of trees and limbs like this.

That looks like it's blocking a good chunk of the path. Certainly not something I would like to encounter early in the morning like this, especially if I hadn't had my coffee yet.

First off, no hate to any of these accounts mentioned in the screenshots. I love them, so that’s why they are being called out. There seems over the last 24 hours in the community to be a push for people to join BlueSky. It almost sounds like they are being paid, but more likely one of them got an account and handed out invites to each other. A gated community being rolled out like Google+ is the wrong direction. If you still have a Twitter account, let them know you want them here
