My kid keeps beating me at ...

I have ALL the cards and they just have a couple of premade starter decks.

What is happening!?!?!? 😂🤣

The remaster is really trying my patience.

It's not necessarily a fault of the remaster as much as it is the original game design.

It wouldn't be so bad if they let you save anywhere but having to go through ludacris amounts of tricky platforming right before the Longhunter boss and not letting you save anywhere in that stretch is not fun.

I have died multiple times and restarted this section for the last hour and a half.

This might be where I call it quits...

@Judeau Bawk is incredibly fun to watch whatever he runs. I initially stumbled onto him, because he runs all the old tank controlled Survival Horror games, e.g. classic Resident Evil and Silent Hill.
If you're into that I fully recommend checking those out too. There's also countless videos on his YouTube channel where he runs RE mods...which...I didn't even know that RE could be modded before. 😅

Wow! I didn't realize, here in the States at least, that the Big Easy and the electric are both the same price, around $5,500.

That makes it exceedingly difficult to choose between the two and I could easily see myself using either one in different situations.

Hmmmm...

Does anyone have any advice or experience with either to persuade me in direction or another?

I was reading an article on Broderbund's 'The Print Shop' and have very fond memories of using it. It got me thinking...

What is the modern day equivelant?

Apparently a competitor that swallowed up Broderbund makes PrintMaster and sells it through its website but is it any good?

Is there a modern day alternative on or have web based services like Canva essentially replaced these dedicated programs?

@jake4480 I appreciate the reply, even if it's not the answer that I wanted. 😂

I guess I was hoping there was a Printshop inspired alternative like how Decker is to HyperCard.

Regardless, it sounds like Canva is the main contender to fill the Printshop void.

@Judeau yeah, I think it might be based on what you said. But if there was another you find out about I'd definitely like to know. I remember all the great software of the 90s and early 00s too haha. Boosting for reach.

Question:

At what version of #BlueTooth did wireless headphones first arrive?

I can't find a definitive answer but looking at the different Bluetooth versions I'm assuming it was version 3.0 that was released in 2009.

Does this sound right or were there actually some mass produced Bluetooth v.1 or v.2 headphones?

It's like a 2 for 1. KC won!!! I now await the conservative meltdown. 😁

@Judeau Truly the greatest outcome. I still can't believe those idiots sided with the San Francisco team, a known stronghold for conservatism. Absolutely hysterical

They just released the trailer for the six episode series today.

I'm really excited! I did not realize that it's going to be an extension of the movies.

I just assumed it was going to be a standalone cartoon or something.

Can't wait!

@Judeau I was surprised to see so much of the live action human cast from the movies. I kinda expected it to be all animated like the shorts, maybe with some minor human character roles.

As far as human cast goes, it would be nice to see more of Jojo, because young girls are Sonic fans too! But I digress. 😅

I never got to play Megaball on the but I loved it's inspired remake, DX-Ball on the

I just recently I discovered Ababall and loaded it onto my device and am having a blast with it.

What are some of your favorite ball and bat / Arkanoid style games?

Ababall on the Palm OS line of devices. Rows of blocks are arranged in different colors.

@rootcompute Nice! I have not heard of either of these but they look great. I'll definitely check them out.

Thanks for the recommendation!

@Judeau Absolutely! It's cool to see people still interested in these types of games. I could probably find more if I dug my windows 98 computer out of the closet, lol

The kids and I brought along our 3DS's.

It's a haven for Street passes out here. If I didn't know any better I would think it was still 2015!!!

I really like Paint.net on and was hoping to find a alternative to the program.

is overkill for my needs.

I stumbled across and so far it looks great and seems to be a copy of Paint.net.

I'm still curious though. Are there any other similar programs that I should check out?

buru5,
@buru5@mstdn.games avatar

@Judeau

i loved Paint.net too and am using Krita now on Linux ... not as intuitive as Paint.net but packed with features. i am going to try Pinta now though, if it's similar enough to Paint.net then i'll stick with it.

Paint.net is really just incredible.

Judeau,
@Judeau@mas.to avatar

@buru5 I need to take another look at Krita. The last time I messed with it was several years ago.

I am much more familiar with photo editing now so it would probably be worth the second look.

I agree. Paint.net is amazing. It does absolutely everything that I need it to do and is very intuitive.

Gimp is an incredibly powerful program but is just overwhelming to me and does far more than I need.

For me, paint.net strikes a perfect balance.

I'm super excited about the Collection on the .

It contains the first two games out of five.

I have part 2 for my and even though I never beat it, I always really enjoyed it.

As of right now this looks like the only way that part 1 will be playable in English and I don't want to miss out so I went ahead and pre-ordered a copy.

I'm home sick in bed and just finished watching an incredible YouTube video.

It has been out for a couple of weeks and I have seen it in my feed but just got around to checking it out . For those that have not seen it I certainly wanted to share.

It's a fantastic video, a great story and documentary and internet sleuthing at its best!

It's unravels the mystery of who created the skull trumpet gif.

HIGHLY recommended!!!

I would really like to get a good monitor for my .

Do I need to worry about how many hz the monitor is? I don't fully understand that stuff.

I often adjust my steam deck depending on the game. Sometimes 60hz and sometimes 40hz

Does the monitor that I get need to be divisible by those numbers? Should i stick with 120hz or 240hz or does it really matter?

I'm not looking for something Cutting Edge. I'll probably spend $200 Max.

Judeau,

@WagesOf Ooooooo!!! That's nice.

You make an excellent point that I had not even considered yet.

WagesOf,
@WagesOf@gamepad.club avatar

@Judeau be sure to get at least 60w of power delivery too. Basically anything sold for use with a MacBook should do the job.

Judeau, to Anime
@Judeau@mas.to avatar

I just watched the Princess Minerva . It's a prequel to the which I've never played.
It tells the story of how all of the characters in the game first meet.

It's short at only 40 minutes and moves at a quick pace which allows for zero character development but I can't help but enjoy it.

It's average at best but like a good trashy B Movie it hits a lot of the right notes. It has decent music, cool characters and awesome end battle. That's all I needed.
