Ever have days when you have so much going on that your insides are on perma-rev-up and you can't slow it down?

Today is that day. We finished spackling/painting all the spots where artwork was hanging, we've dusted, vacuumed, and prepped the house. Our painters were unavailable, so it was us.

By the time the showing and trial are over today, I'll need to unwind. Lucky for me, Hammy needs walking at just the right time. That always does it.

While most liberals enjoy the witty quips of George Conway, and appreciate his anti-Trump stances (as I do), no one should ever lose sight of the fact that he has been a deeply committed and manipulative conservative ideologue. He’s no Leonard Leo, to be sure, but he’s not too far from him, either.

@shoq totally agree! My cousin was gushing about how Conway has always been against Trump “from the beginning” and I said…. Hold on…..Let’s examine his history. At THIS point we should band with Conway to save democracy. After that we can go back to fighting on policy abd we have very different perspectives on policies.

@shoq oh. Yeah. I’ve only had it once, thankfully. The Dr gave me Paxlovid. If you’re on that and have that terrible metallic taste in your mouth I read that warm Coca Cola helps a lot. I sucked on mints.

One of the storiest stories I’ve ever heard: when Laos was being bombed into oblivion during the Vietnam war, an Aussie photojournalist sought asylum for his Laotian girlfriend in Thailand by.. scuba diving with her from Laos. They were sharing a breath at a time in the Mekong until they got to Thailand. Then he was put in a Thai prison (the prime minister pardoned him).

Today their child is a leading Thai actor, and a movie was made of them called ‘Love is Forever’

Half a day in reviewing Immunity hearing, I can't stop thinking that I'm listening to three women--one a lawyer/judge before it was normal, the two others women of color--presiding over arguments of two men appealing the order of a woman of color pertaining to white billionaire.

Tl;dr: The first x-President, a billionaire, trying to be a King, is trying his luck before a panel of women, two of them women of color, all of them hella smarter than he is.
