    @thomas @bsi Sehe ich auch so. Wobei Firewalls auf Desktops generall beinahe schon etwas überflüssig sind da quasi jeder Rechner bereits durch jene im Router geschützt wird. Antivirensoftware ist da deutlich relevanter, und selbst das bringt jedes gute moderne Betriebssystem heutzutage mit.

    I truly respect Germans for their ingenuity, but politician Stefan Naas deserves no respect at all.
    In the state elections of the German state of Hesse, he is the main candidate of The Free Democrats; and this year, he is campaigning for "a life without cargo bikes, electric cars and heat pumps".
    Because, you know, killing the planet is the future.
    I am aware, politicians need unique views to differentiate, but this is just nuts.

    @randahl @Naich His boss (Christian Lindner) is really close with the current CEO of Porsche though - the ONLY german car company who're actually not annoyed by this. Others like VW (who own Porsche, lol) want planning reliability and already change their production lines.

    If it were about horses they surely would've been in favor for those. Like I mentioned, he'll look equally silly looking back. But at this point they don't care - neoliberals don't have any other talking points left.

    @randahl @Naich They also were partially responsible for Germany completely killing off its solar industry - we had the biggest one back in the 2000's, but it got completely wiped in favor of coal, cheap russian gas (Chancellor Schroeder - y'know, the one who became big in Gazprom and is friend with Putin) and basically anything that doesn't sound "green".

    Nowadays, after Merkel, all necessary changes HAVE to be green. So any other party only got one topic: bitching about anything that's green.

    Everyone should get themselves a really good portable console that's 'able - like a PS Vita, PSP, certain Switch versions, 3DS etc. - and just play their old games that way. Hell, even get yourself a good smartphone gamepad. They're awesome emulator devices!

    Refuse to constantly buy the same old games you ALREADY OWN or rushed, trashy "remasters". Play what you want the way YOU want.

    Annoyances like spam can be dealt with by admins without scorching the Earth and going nuclear.

    While I concur with what you say, applying pressure on the respective admin might be necessary if they act all stubborn while caring for >100k users. And in this particular case it isn't just because of spam, but because of Eugen's apparent stubbornness* regarding his increasingly bloated instance.

    *I'd love to be wrong on this, however nobody really knows because he isn't communicating shit publicly despite growing criticism.
