@Geri The video captioned 'Watch: Gaza protesters clash with police at Emory University' explains exactly how the BBC and other news channels are seeing this. The students are clashing with police. Let's get this right, unarmed students peacefully protesting are clashing with armed police in riot gear with snipers on University rooftops.

That all seems totally legitimate.

And the nasty party in the UK want to be able to do the same here.

@RickiTarr A rosemary and sea salt focaccia with loads of olive oil on it while warm to soak in. I made it a little while ago. It's quite huge but was offered to my neighbours, none of it went stale let alone went to waste.

Dear tech people out there, and I know there are many. My best friend set a rider account up with Deliveroo for her husband, thinking it would save time for him. Unfortunately the application/account stalled and Deliveroo support had issues finding the account at all. The application has now been withdrawn but the account is still active despite requests for deletion.

How can she have all the account data removed so that HE can create a new one with his locked phone number?

@RickiTarr You know that it's not a binary thing right? I have some dogs that live with me and I love them to bits but I always say hello to cats I meet and give them a fuss until the bar stewards try to attach themselves to my arm. I love most animals, most, with lots of exceptions.

Okay, let me get this straight. Some people who have no connection to mastodon accounts or, are claiming to be on the board of directors of a platform run by loads of individuals for nothing more than the challenge of doing it in most cases.

Isn't this the same as me claiming to be on the board if directors of the universe?

Sorry but you can't be a director of something that isn't owned, just by forming a company. Mastodon will simply step to one side and leave you scratching your head.

If you good people need to say something, say it, don't say one thing and mean something else, or claim you meant something else when someone replies. I just tried to reply to a toot that went along these lines and simply couldn't, no words could put right what was spun to their meanings, sometimes it is simply easier to block the idiots and move on rather than be right and argue.

A wise person once said, nothing.

Dearest people, a little while ago at work, I swapped someone's laptop over for one that wasn't running badly. We had suspicions about this person and what he was using the laptop for alongside work and found lots of files that got them sacked instantly. Since then I have been looking through the deleted files and here is the warning. If you delete a file, you don't actually delete it. Most of the time it can be recovered. Keep your work machines just for work. You will be caught.

@Geri I'm fortunate, at the moment, to be earning enough to get by but most of the work round the edge of Cornwall and Devon (and loads of other places too) is seasonal, zero hour contracts at minimum wage. This year, the so called season hasn't started and the holiday parks are simply not giving their employees any hours. I don't think its far off before there is no one left to work in the seaside towns and villages apart from the multiple home owners.

@fkamiah17 Cameron the corrupt, the cabinet minister without a seat, brought in as a favour to a cowardly mate, really needs to go, once and for all. Nothing he can do or say will excuse him from what he has done to this country. Nothing he can do or say bears any truth to me or should it to any self respecting person. Siding with Israel, to this rich coward, will be a money making exercise in some way, nothing more than that.

@skyfire747 @NormanDunbar So easy to make, just a few mushrooms and a couple of spring onions in a small frying pan with frozen peas - they warm through while the mushrooms cook. I use the same pan to make the omelette with 3 eggs then tip the filling on half and some Davidstowe cheddar with parmesan on top once folded. 5 minute diabetic friendly lunch with no meat.

The mental capacity of the 'children/teenagers/young adults' is far greater than the grunts of police officers beating the shit out of peacefully protesting students who can see through the rhetoric of right wing fascist confusion between being against the murdering Israeli government policy and antisemitism and those who are blindly following the same orders the Nazi SS did in WWII because they are paid to follow inhumane orders. That's what education does for you Chief.

Come on , I need a foolproof recipe for or potato scones if you would prefer but not potato farles. The shops in Cornwall, for some reason have stopped selling them, even the tory Warburton ones have vanished. So please help a Scottish lass in exile in Cornwall to remember hame wi a good recipe and tell me how you make yours? I can get proper black pud and square sausage nae bother but hame made tattie scones have tae be the best, nae?

The hillside ones are too easy to catch. The males with shorter left legs and the females with shorter right legs. Just chase them round the hills into nets. But no, the woodland ones sit in branches of trees waiting for passing walkers to drop on. Whereas the pipers emit a deathly squeal, rendering their prey deaf and so easier to creep up to.

Today's random photo is Wild Garlic. This grows in abundance around here and my garden is full of it just now. The flowers smell of garlic too, and you can eat all of the plant. Yum.

@NormanDunbar Just as an after thought, the leaves are very much like a garlic spinach and wilt in the same way. The flowers are very strong but good to eat. The bulbs, from wild plants, are protected, please don't dig them up.
