Silly Story Time:

My husband has always been scared of spiders. If a spider needed removed I would be the one to deal with it, as I've always admired their work. For whatever reason, spiders love our Bathroom, and there always seems to be one or two in there no matter what hubs has tried to keep them out. So, I started naming them, I called one Henry, and I told hubs that he was really social, because every time you'd sit down on the toliet, he would pop out of his hole and just sit by your feet until you were done, then he'd crawl back. Another one would crawl out by the wall when you'd shower, and I told him that was Henry's wife Helena, and she was kind of a pervert, because she liked seeing people naked, but Henry didn't mind, because he liked them freaky. Whenever we would come out of the bathroom, we started giving updates about what Henry and Helena were up to. One day they disappeared, and we were both kind of sad, but last night hubs comes out of the bathroom, and says, Come look! He points to the wall by the toliet, and there is a little spider, and he says, Henry, he had a son! We are very excited about this development!

Spiders are awesome. For one summer my kid had a house spider as "protector spider". It had built a giant web in the corner of her bed and she would check up on it and try to feed it halfdead flies.

Für 18 Uhr rufen Faschos zu einer Gegenaktion ebenfalls vor dem Rathaus auf.

  1. I tend to forget bad movies rather quickly, so I don't have one springing to mind. After some thought I remembered that The Woman In Black 2 was pretty bad.
  2. Bad ending, lack of motivation for the characters, story that only works because people act dumb af.
  3. I think it's because horror movies appear to be pretty easy, but they're not. You have to hit the tonality right and if there is something supernatural it doesn't mean you can ignore all logic and common sense.

OK another question:

In the episode where they go into the void, they encounter a species of non-verbal beings who, with the doctor's help (and Seven's who isn't accredited), they develop a language via beep and blips using a handheld device.

So why didn't the universal translator translate that language?

I don't always watch the extra features on the DVDs but I found out someone interesting.

I realised that the actor who played Brunt in also played the white-skinned collector who tried to get a holoprogram of Kira. You can tell it's the same guy because they act in a similar way ...

But what I didn't realise is the guy who played Brunt also played Weyoun.

Weyoun was brilliant - all seven of him!

Jeffrey Combs has played all minor and recurring characters in all Star Trek shows as far as I can tell 😇

Joke aside, he also was Shran on ENT and some antagonist in VOY and I think some Klingon in DS9. He is the only actor to have played two different characters in one single episode.

Generally, I would recommend watching anything with him in it, especially if he's the antagonist.

My guess:
Oppenheimer and DS9 are darker with very obviously political topics.
Barbie and TNG are happy and colourful with a slightly more subtle social commentary.

So in Odo's clothes aren't real but part of his body.

But what about his combadge? He uses a combadge so is it pinned into his body? Or does part of him hold onto the badge to keep it in place?

I've recently wondering about that myself. As the badge disappears when he transforms into something else and reappears when he takes humanoid form, it must be part.of his body. He can't do hair but can do intricate technology?

Also, while we're on unanswered questions about shapeshifters, why is everyone drawing blood to prove they aren't one? Wouldn't it be easier to cut off a strand of hair or a nail or something like that?

(Also, in German I'd call this Kopfkino and I regret deeply that there seems to be no English expression for this.)
