From brick builder Angus MacLane, if you recognise it, I think it'll make you smile. I certainly had a little giggle. 😁

TIL that the skeleton of what would become known as a Krayt dragon, a piece of desert set dressing featured in Star Wars: A New Hope, was in fact the Brontosaurus built for the Disney film, One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing.

Filmed just a few years before Star Wars, when the fibreglass skeleton was discovered at Elstree Studios, the crew jokingly hid it amongst the props and equipment being shipped to Tunisia.

It ended up being used as a set dressing for the Tatooine desert.

Are Warner Bros on Mastodon? 😁 Someone uploaded this two-minute crew video which features a lot of wonderful behind-the-scenes material from Coyote Vs Acme. This is what $70m can get you. The designs are great and so much work went into this.

This video has been published on X and YouTube but Warner Bros are taking it down wherever they find it.

A montage of the crew working on the Coyote Vs Acme film which will never be seen as it is written off for tax purposes.

Imagine a film where the Looney Tunes character Wile E. Coyote hires a human attorney (Will Forte) to sue the ACME Corporation (Run by John Cena) for defective product injury after so many of their products have backfired on him over the years in his pursuit of the Road Runner.

Well, I'm afraid your imagination will have to do. It cost around $70m and despite having great test scores, Warner Bros have written the whole thing off. You'll never see it.

This will be a nostalgia hit for some of us Brits but it's also tinged with sadness.

The BBC prime time scientific show, Tomorrow's World, predicts what the house of 2000 will be like, this is from 1989.

I found it sad when the expert said that by 2000 we'll have to insulate homes better because we will be forced to use less fossil fuels because of global warming.

Oh hang, we just carried on as normal didn't we. 😥

Me: Ooh, a Mastodon notification! Someone wants to talk or has included me in something social.

Brain: Prepare the dopamine hit!

Mastodon: A poll you voted in has ended.

Brain: Cancel the dopamine, false alarm! Abort! Abort! Abort!

Me: no..No..NOOOOOO!

Today I discovered that stop-motion animator Phil Tippet helped design some creatures for a film called The Primevals.

An amazing backstory, it's taken over fifty years to complete and is dedicated to David Allen, the stop motion animator who wrote and directed the film.

The film looks cheesy but a lot of fun. The live-action footage was shot in 1994! The stop-motion work looks amazing.

The Primevals premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival in Canada.

Hello. A little deviation from my usual film ramblings,

Here's a review of the free running game Mirror's Edge that was released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2008.

From the brilliant @itsmisterabk via Instagram. Otherwise known as the comedian Alasdair Beckett-King.

I was a sucker for FMV adventure games in the 90s, the more CDs the better. Chuck in a celeb or two who was no longer in the spotlight, and I'm there! 😁

Alasdair certainly got me in the nostalgia feels!

It's official, Chad Stahelski, the director of the John Wick franchise, will take on Highlander as his next film. It has the green light to go ahead.

Henry Cavill is attached to star in the film.

A question thats lived in my head ever since I started imported DVDs back in the late 90s from the US.

The original Warner Bros. cardboard snapper cases always included these proof of purchase tokens along the inside spine. Were they ever used for anything? Some kind of mail in offer?

Just curious.

To celebrate Alien Day yesterday, the director of the upcoming Alien: Romulus, Fede Alvarez, posted a short video of himself having fun with a radio controlled face hugger on set.

To save you having to visit THAT social media site, here's the video.

A man holding a typical radio controller has fun making a face hugger, a creature like a large spider, run around the floor.

Why does a game come with a steel book if there is no physical media?

I'll tell you what, movie collectors are going to be annoyed when all your steel books are recalled for the metal when it's needed to create ammunition for the climate/water/food wars of the 2030s! 😄

Could've started a game I've had for ages but no, I spotted Cloudpunk is only £4 on the PSN store.

It looks absolutely beautiful on the PS5 and these screenshots don't do the HDR any justice. I love the art style.

Imagine if Blade Runner was made from tiny blocks (voxels).

The best part so far, finding an ancient cassette that turned out to be a ZX Spectrum game according to the expert I talked to.

I achieved a PSN Trophy called Load "" Enter. If you know, you know! 🤣

A dystopian view of the future. A rain soaked, foggy city. Neon signs and lights are the only illumination in the dark. I have achieved a PlayStation trophy called "Load "" Enter".

@Tim_Eagon I had this game back in the eighties and it's always stuck with me. Probably because it was just a text adventure which as a very young boy, I found disappointing at the time.

I think a larger version of the art was used for a band album sleeve as well.

Brexit, harder to import/export. Cost of food going up.
Can't get a GP appointment.
Can't get a dentist appointment
NHS on verge of collapse.
Raw sewage in our rivers, lakes, and seas.
Cost of living crisis.
etc.

But no, it's all about immigrants, trans people and a labour woman who possibly didn't pay a £1.5k tax bill over ten years ago.

Well, seeing as you guys have royally fucked over the country, mainly for your own profit, and nothing works and is about to collapse, what do you think you could possibly do in six months to turn around 14 years of destruction?
