This expose of a conserv law prof shows he treated women horribly and abused power over their careers.

It also shows how much money sloshes around conservatives. Google and Amazon contracts. Federalist Society. Jones Day. AEI.
So. Much. Rightwing. Money.

A company paid a ransomware group.. then had their info leaked by the same ransomware group anyway. Not isolated at all, eg UnitedHealthcare paid $20m and then got extorted again by the same person.

Stop paying ransomware groups. You are directly funding serious organised crime. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/pandabuy-pays-ransom-to-hacker-only-to-get-extorted-again/

I've only just realised that William Russell died at 99 years old this week – he was one of the very first companions on Doctor Who. An entertaining actor, will be much missed. RIP.

I had a pretty rough day and contemplated just giving up on @pixelfed because it seems like I can’t catch a break

But after calming down, I started to remember all the big milestones and the people who believe in our platform and in me

I’m not ready to give up, in fact this was the kick in the ass I needed to get my priorities straight and focus on shipping the app ASAP and also Groups

I’m a few months behind on my NLnet Groups milestone and need the money so that’s my focus after the app

😮Eddie Hall had a 2 on 1 mixed martial arts fight against 2 much smaller men? This is just a terrible idea. Extremely dangerous. Who sanctioned this?

Yes, a smaller, much more skilled martial artist can defeat a bigger, stronger, more athletic person. But if that larger stronger more athletic person is anywhere close in skill? It's not even a fair fight. There are weight categories for a reason.

And I can't believe they made the survivor get back in there alone. Evil.

I thought God of War and Baldur’s Gate 3 might have ruined most games for me by setting the bar so high but I’m really enjoying one of the loveliest games I’ve played in a while and it’s… are you sitting down?…

Cat Quest!

(Yep.)

It’s a gentle/sweet/fun Zelda/Final Fantasy/Skyrim inspired 2.5D cartoon-like RPG that you can dip in and out of made by a small studio in Singapore. I stumbled onto it on PlayStation Plus but it’s on all platforms.

Dismissing this case with "oh he had chronic conditions" is extremely dangerous. Not to mention the fact that there's a lot of people who have multiple underlying health conditions.

99.7% of Venture Capital money goes to people that are not Black women.

0.3% of Venture Capital goes to Black women.

The 11th circuit court cited civil rights law when it said that it is racist to stop anyone from having access to VC based on their race, and that setting aside VC for people of a given race is racist.

So they ruled against a group of Black women looking to give their own money to Black founders. For violating the civil rights. Of white men that want that 0.3% too.🙂🙃

The Most Lavish Mesopotamian Tomb Ever Found Belongs to a Woman - And her clothing tells an important story, says archeologist Rita Wright, by Sarah Durn February 10, 2022

"...Archeologist and textile expert Rita Wright, professor emerita of anthropology at New York University, is the first to ever study Pu-abi’s garments based on the only surviving image of her. Her findings have just been published in the new book Art/ifacts and ArtWorks in the Ancient World. Atlas Obscura spoke to Wright about the role of women in ancient Ur, what we know of Queen Pu-abi’s life, and why textiles are so often overlooked in archeology.."

Textiles are overlooked because they are "women's" handiwork, of course. The modern science of archaeology began in the days where the only things considered to be of value were gold and jewels, or weaponry. Anything women did was considered uninteresting, not important, or presumed to be part of a "fertility cult."

I'd also registered to vote by proxy, but by random coincidence, I will be in the country. Apparently, that's fine so long as I beat my nominated proxy voter to the polling station 🤣
