This says a lot about the state of the Russian media landscape. The press secretary of the Russian defense ministry has resigned, and this is a quote from the TASS article about it:
""I will be assuming new duties. Almost 7 years in the Defense Ministry have flown by like a MiG-31. I will remember this time with pride", - she wrote on Instagram (which belongs to the recognized extremist company Meta and is illegal in Russia)"

The parenthesis is part of the quote.

Reminds me of all those Chinese officials who used to complain about "Western Censorship" on because they had labels on their accounts.
removed those labels AND the app is still illegal in China. A win for the authoritaria...uh...I mean "Freedom of Speech."

#Russia is increasingly using "glide bombs" - cheap but highly destructive ordnance - to advance its offensive in #Ukraine.

More than 200 of them are thought to have been used in just a week to pound Ukraine’s northern town of #Vovchansk during Russia’s current cross-border advance near #Kharkiv.

President Volodymyr #Zelensky said 3,000 such bombs were dropped on the country in March alone.

Today’s most important quote is from Blinken in Kyiv:

Journalist: β€œThe Biden administration has made clear it doesn’t want Ukraine using US equipment to strike onto Russian territory […] Does that ban make sense [?]”

Blinken β€œWe have not encouraged or enabled strikes outside of Ukraine, but ultimately Ukraine has to make decisions for itself about how it’s going to conduct this war.”

Finally, the US seems to have realized you have to break eggs to make an omelet. May this be a turning point.

Russian forces launched an armoured ground attack on 's northeastern region early on Friday, advancing 1 km (0.6 mile) near the border town of in an effort to create a buffer zone, a senior Ukrainian military source said.

The assault opens a new front in the war more than two years since 's full-scale invasion. Fighting in the border areas of the Kharkiv region continued and Kyiv has sent more forces to the area as reinforcements.

lieutnant Azatbek Omurbekov (АзатбСк ΠžΠΌΡƒΡ€Π±Π΅ΠΊΠΎΠ²) was one of the tank commanders proudly presented on the Moscow 9 May victory parade. Omurbekov is mostly known for his role in the mass-scale execution of civilians in - he was the commander who issued the orders to β€œkill any civilians with smartphones”. In recognition of his heroism, Omurbekov was granted Hero of Russia medal.

Massere af missiler, glidebomber og droner vΓ¦lter ind over Ukraine og rammer konstant civile og infrastruktur overalt. Ukraine er helt vildt presset. Tiden (burde) arbejde for Rusland.
