    Cool new risk assessment tool. Called ARIA (Airborne Risk Indoor Assessment), it comes from . (Look, they say it's airborne--finally.) 😆
    It asks for LOTS of info (date, nation and city, Enter temp, humidity, dimensions of room, occupancy, duration, assumed number of attendees infected, if you've been vaccinated, etc.) and provides an estimate of risk:

    If you're not from the US and want to travel here. Don't.

    I thought as a (German and white) visitor I'm gonna be fine.

    Border and customs protection took my phone, forced me to unlock it and stole god knows what data from it. The agent was powertripping and made sure to let me know that I am powerless and he can just send me home or do godknowswhat to me.

    He directly said "if you're annoying I'm just sending you home".

    Apparently my trans ass was part of a "random search". Lol.

    I'm fine now and with Lexi luckily. I don't know what kind of malware is on my phone, or what they took from it. I've been crying all throughout my connecting flight.

    This place is a dystopian shithole. Please don't go here.

    @lea I will never travel via the US again. Nightmare. They held us in a room for no apparent reason - myself, my wife and our baby. All we were doing was flying to Frankfurt via Seattle, originating from Vancouver, BC. Never again. I have no desire to enter the US again.

    tesla owners finally complaining about some of the cars' features bc apparently your spouse can watch your car's progress on the app at home and see where you stop. you can even see which seats are being used so "both backseats" suddenly registering on the "heat map" is giving away the cheating lol

    I hate the term “covid-cautious” - it’s not a religion, it’s not being “woke” or optional or a lifestyle choice. It’s a reaction to a never ending virus that has been allowed to spread everywhere with zero containment. The fact that people who are trying not to inhale a dangerous pathogen that is now known to cause brain damage as well as a myriad of other life changing conditions are being mocked and treated as if they have a psychological condition is pure insanity. Humanity is fucked.

    Motorbikes have to be the slowest form of transport. I’ve never witnessed anyone just get on their bike and go. It’s always 20 minute of idling and futzing with it and leaving it to go get something and then futzing some more and then idling it for another few minutes and then getting on and futzing some more for another 2 minutes before roaring off.

    People in the fire community (financial independence / early retirement) really over-estimate their ability to do blue collar work when they say stuff like ‘I’ll just barista fire’ (work as a barista after I retire)

    Have you made coffee? Do you like coffee? Are you sure you can be hired to make it?

    So many tech professionals have no idea what service work is, or how they are profoundly unsuitable to it

    Biden is in my hometown. He's just a few blocks away, and it's causing me cognitive dissonance.

    I feel like I'm in a war zone. There are helicopters all over. Sirens wailing. So much protection.

    But, he'll be unmasked in crowded rooms, since is no risk at all, apparently.

    Weird that he's protected in one sort of bubble and not another. A man of his age spending time in crowds unmasked feels like the equivalent of painting a bullseye on him.
