Heading to #StPaul in hopes that #MnUFC will finally win a game for me. I have to travel 500 miles RT to watch the Loons. I see about 3 games per season. Havent seen them win in person in three years. If they don't win today, my miles-to-win ratio drops to 5,000/0.

Is anyone aware of a bot that counting the number of federated accounts? Just curious about the uptake by Threads users. Out of their puported hundred million users, I would anectdotally guess about 1000 users have voluntarily federated, but maybe you know better than me?

We made it to Cape Girardeau, MO. Lots of traffic coming in. The skies are clear with thin high altitude clouds. It should be good viewing here if conditions hold.

So, came out to the lake after being away for a week and found this squatter sleeping in my living room.
Not sure how to deal with a bat. I'd hate to toss him out in the cold... its only about 2 C.

An early ice out on our lake. Possibly the earliest ever. I watched this Trumpeter Swan take flight this morning. The temperature was 15F.

Here in NW , we are expecting a record high 60 degrees today, and then possibly a blizzard tomorrow.

Today in NW , its 52 degrees. In February. We are on track for the warmest on record. Its been disappointing not to be able to avail ourselves of all the winter activities and outdoor sports we typically enjoy. Instead, I am worrying about deer ticks in February. Wtf.
Next week with temps that could reach the 60s, I will probably get a jump on spring cleanup (which usually happens here in May), with the lawn tractor.

I had driven by this giant buffalo statue in #JamestownND a thousand times, but finally decided to stop and photograph it. I was surprised at how tall and anatomically correct it is. North Dakota's politicians could use a set of balls like these.

My daughter is a dental student and now gets all kinds of expensive consumer dental swag and products cheap or free. She asked me yesterday if I wanted an internet connected toothbrush that graphed my brushing habits and gave real time feed back if I was doing it right.
Then today I read about this hack.
I really dont need a $300 tooth brush, even if it is free.

Tooth brushes shouldnt be hackable, imo.

Just watched for the dozenth+ time. On a combo VCR/DVD player I bought for $20. On a $1.99 DVD. On a 720p(i) TV.
Have to say, it is aging well: inter gender and interracial cooperation. The inter-genre music still incredible. The choreography outstanding. Pays homage to spaghetti westerns, love stories, Bruce Lee, film noir, sci-fi, war, apocolypse, crime drama, and more.
Has there ever been a more quintessentially movie than the Matrix?
It lays bare the American fascination with guns, the individual, distrust of government, and redemption through and our fear of it. It fully predicts dangers of AI. Fuck, it even predicts AI.
All while being fully entertaining and a warning.
The Matrix is 's playbook.
Jesus Christ, this is a good movie and its aging well.

A fishing shelter has broken through the ice today on our lake in NW . Rain and warm temps have made lake ice dangerous. Typically, this time of year, it should be 24 to 30 inches thick.
