We spotted a bird yesterday, but not able to identify it with 100% confidence. Is this an osprey? We've never seen an osprey on our lake before. Photographed from a distance unfortunately.

After 20 years, we're dropping . Their policies don't fit us anymore. Our household spans 2 houses, and 2 kids away at college. We pay Netflix extra for the ability to do multiple streams, which seemed fair. Now they want us to pay for 4 subscriptions. We are marginal Netflix users at best. I get that they're a business. But for now, drowning in unconsumed TV content from a half dozen other subscription services, it's easiest to just say Goodbye to Netflix.

It may be time to look at the other TV subs, and what im paying. I'm not even sure what we have or what they cost these days.

When it comes to , if you make me think about your subscription (especially in the summer months) you're probably going to get cancelled.

So, came out to the lake after being away for a week and found this squatter sleeping in my living room.
Not sure how to deal with a bat. I'd hate to toss him out in the cold... its only about 2 C.

Super proud dad today, in for my daughter, a soon to be graduate. Feels funny to be in Camp Randall. A deserved happy day for the Class of 2023.

A fishing shelter has broken through the ice today on our lake in NW . Rain and warm temps have made lake ice dangerous. Typically, this time of year, it should be 24 to 30 inches thick.

On my grand parents farm was this old car abandoned in the gully where he put stuff he didn't want to see, but might need a part from some day. Every old farm has a place like that.

Of course, as kids we would play in it for hours, pretending to be gangsters who had just robbed a bank, fleeing from the cops. This pic is from 1997, when I made a return visit and wanted to recapture some of those memories.

Can anyone identify this vehicle?

Trying to stream on my Android phone, but once again ruining my paid experience. Its a crap shoot whether it works or not. If they don't fix this bullshit service, I'm going to start learning the names of these teams.
I know goes out of their way to frustrate users, but if I pay you to stream me MLS, then fucking stream me MLS.

Here in , our internet sometimes drops for hours, sometimes a day or two. For fun, I setup offline internet content server using and old laptop and WiFi router. Now we have our own private that never goes down (except when the power is out, which is another toot).

Every day for the past year or so I get an email from from adctr@microsoft.com. It is sent to my Microsoft Outlook address to reminds me that once, long ago, I imported a ad campaign into a Microsoft Ads campaign.
I can't turn it off. There's absolutely no way to stop it.
Even if I try to block the message in Microsoft , it doesn't work. The message comes, every single day. The same message. It has zero value to me, and I don't want to receive it.

So Microsoft will block emails from domains like , but it chooses NOT to block its own emails, on it own domains, providing no contact or opt out option, and even goes so far to prevent their emails from being blocked by me within Microsoft's own apps.

Great customer service there, Microsoft. I guess I will be seeing this email until I die or move to another email provider. Which ever comes first.

I run a few self standing (i/e not wordpress.com) blogs that federate. I've long had issues with following the blog users, and one blog just could not be found. I had given up messing with well-known directories and fussing with settings. But with this latest AP plugin update, suddenly those issues have melted away. I'm really thankful for the work that WordPress has done to bring this content to the . In WordPress-land, this is a big deal.
