Trolls live in the weird space of lies, stupidity and cruelty. The inverse of what I call #LiberalValues, the personal qualities a culture needs to cultivate to make democracy work well: integrity, curiosity and empathy.
Like all trolls, you never know if #Trump wants you to think he's serious when he is not, or he just has no idea what he's talking about. He's always trying to get attention and raise up his supporters by making others feel bad or confused. It breaks public discourse. #magnets
@wjmaggos Ignores liberals specialize in lies, stupidity, and cruelty. Pretending to have integrity, curiosity, and empathy, but acting in direct opposition.
@wjmaggos You obviously loaded this with reference to Trump, so attempting to make your post apolitical is dishonest. Are you saying progressives are against liberal values?
I’ve had the same experience as @parkerortolani
and @sandofsky with Threads recently. Just a month ago I was constantly being fed interesting and fun posts, but very quickly it’s devolved into straight garbage (hustle porn cringe, anti-trans bigots, Facebook-mom style memes, etc).
It went from feeling like the good old days of Twitter to just another Facebook feed, and yes I mean that in the snarkiest way possible 😣
This one didn't hold up well. There were many slurs and some very asinine assumptions.
His dystopian utopia bred people into levels of intelligence and (presumably) drive. Then, forcibly infantilized them during their off-hours with drugs and abundant sex. (I'm not going into the whole squick of the sex games for toddlers and calling having sex all the time a way of infantilizing people...)
I don't give a fuck either way, but you're ridiculously wrong. Even the last paragraph:
"While the usual religious and festive activities have been scaled far back, traditional mass will still be read to mark the major Christian holiday, Asakrieh told the Washington Post."
I have a dormancy question. This is the first one for my one year old Venus Flytraps from seed. I seeded them way to close together (I know better now). I know the best time for separating them out is during the dormancy period, though when is best within that? Is it now when they are dormant for about a month or so with some green on them still or later closer to spring. If the latter do I just move the roots and rhizomes?
For them, it'll be "never again" until the next commercial break.
I've said before that we should be open to apologies from the opposition, but if and only if they explain how they were duped, and how they'll behave in the future.
Will they follow through? Probably not. But it implies some effort in reflecting.
I saw some of his art online and thought it looked like “Invisible Hands” from Liquid Television, which I LOVED. Same artist! This didn’t have quite the same level of twisted, creepiness as that animated series, but I was so happy to find his work in comic form. There’s more too.
