There's no way to completely avoid being controversial. No matter what stance or public position you take, there's going to be a sizeable opposition.

Try to figure out what you think is right and true and then attempt to be consistent with that.

Adjust, if needed, as you find out more.

One's position should be able to withstand criticism and investigation. I don't want to believe the wrong thing.

Additionally, being able to shrug off controversy when facts have been challenged are an indication of one's character.

It's the core of our problems here. All our issues with harassment and scolding arise from the fact that a few people are now able to do crap online that they wouldn't get away with without repercussions offline. Most of us will never do this shit cause of our empathy, at least once we understand the issues involved. But a few unconstrained jerks will ruin any party.

thinks there's too much coming from the left regarding not wanting to hear right-wing opinions or letting their kids run free, but he wants more of it regarding porn, social media use and anger at Israel.     recently we discussed kagi search engine which is paid search engine giving you better results and tooling. as subscriber i was asked is it worth it? which is traditional reddit trope.

    trying an experiment, i tried search results for various terms in all of the big-data corpo engines and kagi won every time.

    the free account is 300 searches for you to try. however one can exhaust this in a few hours depending on their search skillset and objective.

    so, yes it's worth it.
