Hello to all of you, who are still on this frequency listening to my stuff. I have decided to leave the Fediverse and to abandon my social media accounts as I feel I've lost my path and I am trying to redirect myself to the right currently lost way. Also, I don't want my ego to ruin my life. I currently have a hard time at understanding it given the complexity of it. Dear #OpenSource and #privacy friends, when others post about something they've made, don't reply with "do this thing you're doing on a platform I like, or using the tool I prefer". :levburdislike:
If it's nor for you, just ignore it. Don't alienate others by jumping on something they're excited about sharing with the world. If people want that feedback or help, they'll ask for it.
Our own projects & posts are the best way to grow awareness & expand possibility spaces. :levburlike:
@mah@tail there is no point of this conversation because; I have experienced similar stuff already, I myself had criticism against me, but that doesn't mean it was entirely unbacked/bad actually quite the opposite: criticism allows us to make better stuff. You are talking about special extreme cases where I also agree, I wouldn't allow that. However, based on solely the fact a person thinks is bad for everyone, we shouldn't silence the person, because we may not know they are or aren't right.
I never thought about this before, really for a monitor. I’ve heard about them being used as standalone switches, and still think that may be more flexible.

The new #ZorinOS17 is a pleasure to use: beautifully crafted right from the masters. Gnome 43.9 really makes it smooth and clean. I love the 3D workspace switcher and the animated Alt+Tab window switcher! However, I miss the blurred theme. But it's so cool, the app menu now lets you search through the whole OS and many more! Soon, after the big release I'll publish a short video walkthrough.
When we suggest that capitalism must be eliminated, someone always wants to know:
"What will you replace it with?"
If you have a cancerous tumor removed, do you think you need to replace it with something?
If you have a parasite sucking your life away, you remove it. You don't replace it with something else.
If you are a slave, you need freedom, not a new master.

"What is your solution?"
As if it's up to me. Like they can't imagine a world where people work things out together instead of following some leader's proprietary "solution". As if there has to be one solution for everyone. As if there even has to be "a solution".
@RD4Anarchy that's an idealized society. We don't have such one today. However, I could foresee an anarchy with bad things eleminated right from our genes, we could fine-tune human behavior to not let chaos happen. Otherwise with our current habits a good anarchy isn't achieveable without disturbing consequences. What do you think, why do we have laws? Because the human nature has flaws that need to be fixed, either by laws or by something else.
Having spent the first 10 years of my career careening around the games field like a pinball, it's astounding to me that as of today I've been with Meta nee Facebook Reality Labs nee Oculus for 6 years today.
