TMI WARNING:

There a few simple physical strategies. Someone already mentioned a compartmented pill box. ✅

I’ve used a rubber band on the pill bottle itself to represent “next dose is…” at bottom = morning (think sunup), middle = midday, and top = night (stars). Slide the rubber band up or down after taking a dose.

Anything more complicated gets a timeline of checkboxes on a paper posted on the fridge.

@seachanger IMHO, American-style couches have too-high arm-rests on the sides. I much prefer the European style, with low arm-rests that are conveinantly at the height your arm naturally wants to… rest. Also good for laying your head on, to read, e.g., a magazine. Whereas with Yankee-style, no can do. 😢

My dad, a dr., was an award-winning photographer, but would never take money for his work. He got his photos in National Geographic calendar and other places, won contests, etc, but wouldn’t take a dime.

I’m going through his photos (he took, developed them himself, start to finish), have to get rid of a ton bc we can’t take them to Canada, 100s of mounted 11x14s. I’ll share some soon.

& if you’re very very good, I’ll also share a pic of me at 19 that he took in London. 😊 Maybe even more.

    When I sold my second car, a white run-down Opel Corsa (Vauxhall), back in 2001, it was the mother of a buddy who bought it.

    Her words when chatting before signing the handwritten, two-line “contract”?

    @timnitGebru Dunno what it’s like now, but about 20 years ago I spent some time in the Dominican Republic. And it felt really different! People of every color were—just people! No racism. So refreashing. What an eye-opener!

    UPDATE: Aaaarrgghhhhhhh! 😱 I had a number of people asking me for clarification of the poll, so I edited option wording, but this caused it to reset the responses to zero. I am so sorry! 🥴

    The latest figures before I messed this up were this:

    About 75% of people clicking on a link to a Mastodon post saw it displayed a normal post, 25% saw it displayed in a browser window.
