@Teri_Kanefield one of my earliest memories is of my grandmother, a Democrat, and her elder sister, a Republican, sitting on a couch, drinking strega, and discussing which form of communism the USA should adopt as capitalism was obviously failing the vast majority. This was around 1961. We seem to have great difficulty today with having reasoned discourse from different viewpoints, accepting even if we don’t understand each other, but trying to understand

@GottaLaff there are some words there that blur into illegibility when zoomed, but it seems that the negative word cloud drowns those words seeing the horrific in a positive light.

Negative: vengeance, control, chaos, choas [sic], mess, opposed, [a misspelling of dictatorship in the upper left?], division, death, destroy, revenge, corruption, dictator, dictatorship

Positive: Well, there aren’t any positives about a second term, so all those other words are just newspeak

Supply Chain? [Local/Distant/International – to store, to table] Manufacturing of the mycelium based grounds? Nutrition? [Healthy, Complete, Personal Medicine] Environmental Impact? [back to supply chain and manufacturing, but also storage and cooking and clean-up]

Who can make use of the analytical results and who needs to be involved to make this happen? We need to consider privacy, transparency, security and convenience in the data orchestration and presentation, as well as cultural, regulatory, economic, political and environmental factors Why should we do any of this?

@impactology @RuthMalan @PropCazhPM @czds one of my earliest cookbooks (a freebie from the Science Fiction Book Club) had tables of herbs, spices, pairings and techniques for each of the sections (meat, poultry, fowl, vegetables, starches, etc) — somewhat of a flavor map to help you create your own recipes. They were not in later editions though. A real loss.

Imo, it's true that many voters aren't content with slowing ; they want all prices to fall (which would require a depression).

This said, we have actually seen straight up deflation for many high-salience items. The 34% drop in the cost of health insurance seems especially under-discussed.

Blast from the past.

We’re slowly cleaning out our garage for our eventual move to Canada next spring and I ran across this pic of my twins (& their friend) with Jessie Biel on the set of Seventh Heaven. She hung out with them for a really, really long time, couldn’t have been nicer.

We ended up being asked to leave bc we were told that the youngest cast member, Mackenzie Rosman, got way too hyper from being around us (we were “too much fun”).
