Consider me not at all shocked that Humane is shopping itself.
TBH, I expected Rabbit to do this first because the company doesn’t offer a compelling hardware product but because the software / #AI approach is the real product and far more valuable. Well, if it worked better, that is. I figured Rabbit built a low-cost hardware box simply to showcase the actual product that it would/will later try to sell.

I get that this is supposedly "stored locally" and encrypted, but I don't trust this even the slightest bit. I don't trust that Microsoft can keep its greedy mitts off that data.
@chris What about Phanpy or Elk? I tried various desktop versions in Linux but they always seemed to be missing some features. I haven't used one in awhile, so that may have changed.
@cliffwade Good morning, last day off of vacation and unfortunately it is raining, so most likely gaming or figuring out how to self host stuff. My long term project is to self host as much as I can for myself.
@cliffwade I have a Mac Mini that is always on. Would be nice to experiment with self hosting of other things like blogs, phanpy and other cool things I come across here. I currently have it running as a media server and tv using Hdhomerun hardware.
Well my Phanpy trial ended on my Pixel. It stopped loading. Deleted the PWA and set it up again, just a black screen with a loading circle hanging there. Back to Moshindon now.
@adamsdesk I know but I haven't self hosted anything before, need to learn. I'm not sure why it stopped working on my Pixel. Will need to research it when I have time. I really miss it. I still use it on my other devices.
I’ve been on a real SpaghettiOs kick lately. Brings me right back to when I was a kid. I’m sure I’ll get over it soon but at the moment it’s super comforting. 😌
It's a new week, so let's all discuss what we did over the weekend and what the week ahead has in store for us.
For me, it's the usual work stuff today. I didn't do much of anything over the weekend except go to dinner with my cousins fiance as he stopped by for a bit. Always good to see him as he's super fun to be around.
Played a bit of Ghost of Tsushima and Diablo IV, and was lazy all weekend.
@cliffwade I played some Ghost of Tsushima as well. Finished some anime and watched Dark Matter with wifey. Holiday here so planning to go outside if the weather holds up.
Min found an “easy” breakfast burrito recipie on Instagram and I tried it. There are certainly less steps than a traditional breakfast burrito and aside from the flipping it wasn’t hard to make. (Hear me yelp at the 1:25 mark 😂) I prefer the traditional method of scrambling the eggs separately and building the burrito from scratch. Doing it all in the pan means the eggs get cooked, overcooked really. They can’t be loose at all and the texture isn’t as nice (IMHO). Still fun to try!
