I keep seeing headlines talking about SCOTUS being forced to do the right thing. I'll believe it when I see it. There's no reason to think they give one fuck about their "legitimacy" as as a Court, since they're illegitimate members.

Okay. What services? Peertube? A network with an amount of traffic that is a rounding error compared to YouTube's and has no monetization strategy?

Nebula? The video streaming service that is invite only and which sources new talent to invite specifically from YouTube? The service that has set up a model where it is dependent on YouTube and can only really survive if YT is thriving?

Vimeo? The site that has sent creators of popular videos bills of thousands of dollars for "taking up too much bandwidth?"

Which video streaming service is viable for new and unknown video makers building an audience and established ones who do it for a living and everyone in between? You can't answer that question because no such service currently exists

    Because Madoff stole from mostly rich, mostly white people, ultra high net worth individuals, financial institutions. US society makes sure that rich folk are made whole, have loans forgiven (Eg PPP), etc.

    But the people that SBF stole from are unlikely to ever get their money back. Because they were disproportionately Black, low net worth individuals. AKA, normal people.

    I was asked in a job interview “why do you want to work for us?”, which I answered “I’m not sure I want to work for you. Why should I want to work here?” I felt, based on language and attitude, that they wanted me more after saying that.

    It’s a weird dynamic.

    Is it weird that I feel completely comfortable with ?
    I noticed that most of the folks I run into are ill at ease when they interact with their repo.

    The resources available tend to either

    • explain how (all of) git works.
      Or
    • provide a few stanzas of incantations to accompany the ritual sacrifice.

    I wonder if there's an audience for a "git therapist"?

    I love using git. Occasionally I have merges conflicts, but I get through them ok as long as I don’t have long-opened branches. Start it, finish it, move on.
