There's some diaspora on Vancouver Island (and several other places in Global North) who have severe , to the point that they're not just into & capitalism but they're so self unaware of internalized racism that they don't even know when racist white folks them to defend/justify racism & use them to push WS beliefs on their own peoples.

I lose my fu*king shit around Asians like this. They harm us Asians who fight for human rights.

Here's the thing: It's my #POC community & as I'm a part of that, some of my #responsibilities is to address it within that community. It's not #WhiteFolks' jobs to do that - calling out/calling in/educating #diaspora Asian folks suffering from #InternalizedRacism & hurting fellow #Asians.

Just like it's not POC's jobs to deal with white #racists - it's the responsibilities of white folks to deal with problematic bigots in their own communities.

Here's the other thing: Colonial governments love exploiting . They benefit from folks who suffer from . It's part of the colonialism playbooks. They provide extra rewards to people who are willing to & defend almost anything, to non-white folks willing to sell their souls & willing to enact harms on their own peoples. They depend on both & to exploit BIPOC with internalized racism issues.

Help! My herbs are growing mushrooms!

I noticed some of the compost in a few of the herb pots was raised today. Assumed they'd been nudged accidentally or the cat had investigated. But this evening I noticed a pale yellowish lump in one and it's a mushroom! There's one in another too.

I did not plant mushrooms. Wtf? Can I eat them? How did this happen?

@alexisbushnell It likely sprouted from deadwood in your soil. I would never eat any mushrooms that I can't 100% identify as safe & not toxic for human consumption.

I'm about 2.5 weeks from getting over 10 extractions & immediate dentures put in. Prepared myself for pain & discomfort for few weeks after.

@blogdiva I feel same way about most of Canadian politics. I definitely don't need anyone telling me Conservatives are worse - already know that & never voted Conservative & never will. If you're BIPOC & also marginalized in other ways (disabled, poor, LGBTQ2S, etc), you've likely experienced fascism/racism/bigotry/hate crime at least once in your life, if not multiple times. We're not the ones to direct frustrations at.

@blogdiva Many of us POC had lived under the Harper regime. We know he never stopped trying to get revenge on all of Canada for losing election. We know better than most, how awful things can get under more conservative & more neoliberalism leaders - because we've already experienced a lot of horrors that most of our white connections have only read/seen in the news.

Since, being a grown up person has zero actual reasons to do with folks who are more than grown up, chronologically, yet choose wilful ignorance in the ages of massively easy to access educational learning/re-learning resources.

I've met/encountered many "grown ups" who are full out bigots & several are really proud to be racists too.

Hada unfollow a bunch of you the past 10 days for my own sanity - I simply cannot do this for six months. On some level I hope you win, because I like breathing, but at the end of the day pretending things aren't the way they are, lives aren't already being destroyed, and being mad to the point of seeking the active fall of this fascist police state is a selfish choice somehow, is not acceptable to me. Especially not every 8 mins for 6 months. See you in December if you don't rage block me.

@Lazarou @dorkette888 @AnarchoNinaWrites It was same instance admin who called the cops on me too & then lied about it. He stooped to run a smear campaign on me - trying to say I'm drugged out on laced fentanyl & other full blatant lies.
Cops came & left real quick since it wasn't a valid report but an abusive power tactic used to try to punish me for calling him TF out.

Yesterday Salt Lake City Police held a "Coffee with Cops" event at a Starbucks in downtown SLC. The goal of these events it to 'connect with the community', which would be much harder if they told people their backstory.

Two of the officers there were responsible for the killing of Nykon Brandon in August 2022. Brandon was an unarmed (he was in only shorts) homeless man who Fisher Brewing called the police on even though he had already left.
