@GottaLaff This says more Americans voted for Trump, which isn't actually the case. He won the EC but lost the popular vote, and not by a small amount.

I was talking with a biochemist friend of mine about hydrofluoric acid used in glass etching. She was outraged at it being used by someone outside a laboratory setting. I was like, okay, but doesn't some fluoride naturally produce hydrofluoric acid, like the same stuff you put in your teeth? And she was like, "I don't put that in my mouth."

Some coconut on the GURPS forum just tried to claim Aztecs didn't have the same level of agricultural technology as Europeans, things like crop rotation, maize, and potatoes.

@msquebanh Not all eugenicists were sterilizers who hated (whatever particular group), but most people don't realize how damned popular eugenics was. The polite version provided ample political cover for genocide, sterilization, baby snatching, all of which occurred up through the 1970s, even 1980s in some corners of the industrial world.
