As a result of the zoning order, Toronto city council will no longer be able to weigh in on technical elements of the project as it does on other buildings that go through the local planning process.
This situation, to me, really showcases the #GOP/ #conservative mindset: they clearly don’t believe the rules should apply to them, and when the law actually does hold them accountable they look for loopholes and workarounds to allow them to keep doing the thing the law tells them they cannot do.
These folks should never be put in charge of anything.
The Tories have spent the last 14 years in Government perpetrating scam after scam to pour our taxes into the pockets of their cronies who've taken everything, delivered nothing & scarpered.
Even if a future Government tried to recover the money, many of the companies that received millions from the the public purse have been wound up, some owing HMRC vast sums in unpaid taxes.

Laws were changed to protect the wealthy & prevent protest against the Tories.
Weak Governments that fear their own population, but fiercely defend their own corruption, are a danger to everyone.

Arrrgh! I am having trouble keeping track of GOP atrocities. I thought it was Tennessee that ended the lunch breaks for child workers, but they were the ones who decided to give guns to teachers.
Ending women's rights to healthcare and abortions, promoting gun violence in schools by arming teachers, refusing children food...it is becoming confusing which red states are the worst.
We owned it.
Our taxes built it.
Tories sold it.
We paid more to use it.
Their cronies asset stripped it.
Shareholders got rich.
They donated to Tories.
Tories cut their taxes.
The business failed.
Their greed destroyed it.
