@Whiskeyomega@vinylrecords This album suffers from the licensing blues. I understand that “hits” would most likely come from Warner’s records, but there’s stuff pre Hit To Death that artistically, absolutely should be on here. Especially some things from Priest Driven Ambulance.
But this is a killer Lips introductory course, for sure.

Sandy Bull’s version of Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” is my favorite performance of that piece ever.
Only put this on to test out the bass on Skipping Like A Stone that I had a problem with clipping my headphones badly. As it turns out it was the acrylic slipmat causing the bass to sound compressed and focused which caused the clipping. Back to felt and I've never heard this album properly until now.
Got both the white 2LP as its rare and the 3LP 45rpm Boxset which this is. Which on average is 7 mins a side.
@geekgirl397@vinylrecords Its about 5 months old this album. How come you mention Anna Meredith ? its a bit spooky as I was thinking of putting on fibs again. The soundtrack shes just done isnt on vinyl annoyingly at least yet anyway.

We recently got into Anna Meredith after being gripped by Nautilus on the soundtrack of the Paul Rudd sitcom "living with yourself" (really good BTW if you haven't seen it) & also noticing it on the soundtrack of French Netflix "Black Butterflies" @vinylrecords

It's important to have a good sized bag that qualifies as a "personal item", separate from the carry-on bag. It's remarkable how much you can fit under a seat. 💺
So, I take a big duffel bag for the overhead, which I lay a sweatshirt across the bottom in.
I take the 10-15 records I usually find and wrap them in a pillowcase, and make sure they’re snug and secure, and then put the clothes I DIDNT leave behind and neatly elastic them individually, rolled up, and lay them on top. It’s heavy….but always the right size.
Been doing this for 30 years. 😂
@bernd@Probertd8 I haven't seen them play since 1990 (I guess). I've watched a few recent videos on YouTube. I always enjoyed seeing them live.
First time for me was at Reading Festival in 87.
Sadly never got to see them live. I did see McCoy’s spin-off industrial project, Nefilim, but they were rotten. Felt quite sorry for them, though, as they had zero audience reaction until they played a load of Fields of the Nephilim tracks late on in the set.

@jd_d@vinylrecords I wish haha. It's mostly psychedelic rock / garage rock on an album called Data Doom by a band called Frankie and the Witch Fingers. Definitely a fan of that sleeve & pressing.
@Galley I've got all three formats in large numbers but listening to that 1985 CD really made me think how we perceive sound quality through rose tinted glasses with vinyl. It just isn't very good 😬
