‘Beyond parody’: Saanich raises road to slow ‘fast-moving’ cyclists – not drivers
One thing I want to add: it wouldn't even make it to the news if the cycle path crosswalk wasn't raised.
Unsignalized crossings are often terrifying because of wide roadways, absence of refuge islands or markings, obstructed views, big traffic volumes, large vehicles. At least some of the issues were fixed here.
I find it both hilarious & shitty that the only question any #Saanich councillor had when seeing my multiple vids of their #antimasker#police was - How many people have seen these videos?
That confirms for me, my family & friends here that their council doesn't give a shit about their cops violating our #HumanRights but they're concerned about #BadPR 👎

I have just alerted local news station on how #Saanich PD escalated my Dad's medical crisis situation, refused to wear masks inside immunocompromised household after being asked to multiple times, not leaving when paramedics arrived - after admitting they weren't needed on site & it's a medical & NOT police concern & basically getting paid by tax dollars for standing around, obstructing actual lifesavers & being egotistical dipshits.

Happy to see some of my alternate cover crops lawn replacement seeds sowing efforts, slowly paying off. Lots of red & white clovers, more sedges, self heal, wild chamomile, plantain & wild sorrels are showing up on our front lawn space now 👩🌾🥰👍🌿👍

We didn't deserve #AntiMasker cops invading our home without legal causes.
With so many unwanted #pets, staff say things are at a breaking point. People come to the shelter looking to surrender their animals but are turned away daily.

It's proven to be #DroughtResistant, once established. One of very few #plants proven to be resistant to air pollution too. I highly recommend this for #ClimateAction#gardening. It's a gorgeous plant too.
Large #edible#perennial that needs full sun & no shade. As it's namesake, tolerant of high sodium soil & wind resistant - it depends on winds to pollinate hermaphroditic flowers. I recommend this easy to grow #plant, for coastal food gardens.
