The District of #CentralSaanich says #ButterfieldPark will soon grow to nearly double its current size once it finishes purchasing an 18-acre parcel of land.
On Friday, the municipality said it had negotiated an agreement to purchase 18 acres of land at 1124 Mount Newton Cross Rd., which borders Butterfield #Park, at a cost of $3.2 million.

Deforestation in Brazil and Colombia has plummeted following changes in political leadership, according to analysis by the World Resources Institute’s (WRI) in partnership with the University of Maryland, US.
Tree loss in the Brazilian Amazon fell 39% when President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva took the reins last year, the data showed. In Colombia, logging has fallen by almost half under premier Gustavo Petro.

Auf meinem Account versuche ich so einen Mix aus allem, schlägt mal in die eine oder andere Richtung aus.
Entscheidend wären aber tatsächlich Medien mit Reichweite, die wirklich einen Unterschied machen könnten.
Nur noch 4,3% der Menschen legen in Paris ihre täglichen Wege mit dem Auto zurück. 11,2% mit dem Fahrrad, 53,5% zu Fuß und 30% mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Ein Grund für diese Entwicklung ist der Rückbau von Parkplätzen und der Ausbau von Fahrradwegen. Zudem gilt bis auf ganz wenige Ausnahmen ein Tempolimit von 30 km/h im gesamten Stadtgebiet. Der Lebensstil der Menschen verändert sich. Es geht, wenn der politische Wille vorhanden ist.
Schleswig-Holstein bekommt seinen ersten Radschnellweg
Im Herbst ist Baubeginn des ersten Radschnellweges in Schleswig-Holstein. Von Groß Grönau wird die Trasse durch Lübeck und weiter nach Bad Schwartau führen.
Weitere neue Radschnellwege z.B. von Hamburg nach Elmshorn sind in Planung.

De mon côté, j'ai noté que l'espérance de vie mondiale a gagné six ans, qu'il y a moins de pétrole déversé en mer, que la planète touche désormais des royalties sur le streaming, que les renouvelables font bien baisser les émissions européennes de carbone, que les chercheurs ont trouvé une stratégie vaccinale à l'efficacité indifférente aux nouvelles souches, et pas mal d'autre bonnes choses.
