Grief is a journey, and the holidays can be particularly challenging.

Today, I visited my nephew, his memory urging me to embrace every day with his radiant spirit. His smile guides me to bring joy and support to others, keeping his light alive in the world. 🕊️

Join me to end the stigma around mental illness and seeking help.

Just saying - The best kind of days are idli days 🤷‍♀️
With Chicago being so gray for the last few days, cooking delicious Indian meals is a way to spice it up and also let your creative juices flow!!

So even though a few days ago I was extremely pissed off at the christians for being obnoxious I have seen this year way more winter solstice and Yuletide merriment and blessings of a good winter solstice or good Yuletide and to me that is so heartwarming and hopeful. When I was on fascist book I was seeing so many posts from so many different places all wishing people a wonderful Winter Solstice and Mary Yuletide and showing off like all sorts of things and ways to celebrate and it really warmed my heart.
So even though I saw some crazy christian bullshit about put christ in christmas and down with pagans and no Pagan celebration here and christ is the reason for the season and we are beating the heathens and all that other bullshit, the truth of the matter is is they're not winning.
Statistically in America their numbers have dropped drastically in the last two decades and are expected to be below 50% in less than 30 years. My fingers are crossed that it's even less than that. But then on top of that we have a reported 1.5 million pagans in America and that is only those who are admitting it. There is a statistical average that says if one person voices their opinion there are 20,000 others who agree who don't speak up. So that's 1.5 million * 20,000. And even though that isn't much compared to the 300 million Americans. It's definitely growing. And it brings me great joy to see our people finally blossoming. Finally taking back their rightful place in the history books. I hope to one day see a world where there are more Pagans than christians. just might be a movement that helps that happen. Spreading the fact that you can celebrate exactly the same way only 4 days earlier and not have any of the religious bullshit and or nonsense with it, really could help push us forward. For now I'm just happy to see tons and tons of posts of people wishing people a happy Winter Solstice a merry Yuletide night. It warms my heart and gives me hope.

My original neighbour's 38th annual Xmas card arrived this week. He just completed a series within the series of the four Sundays of Advent. The longest series was the Twelve Days of Xmas, which he made from 1987 to 1998.

\o/ another win against "productivity" thinking:

Client was already tracking how they spent their time, so I asked them to chart it.

Surprise: their day is 98% full of activities their employer is happy to pay for! \o/
And feedback is consistently good. \o/

🤔 So "productivity" isn't actually the issue.

Now, shall we talk about satisfaction ? 🙂

Good morning and .

We have declared this a a 'do nothing' day and we intend to keep it that way.

I don't know about you lovely people, but throughout most of my life, when I really needed someone to ask me how I was, the usual response was, 'what are you doing?'

A subtle difference but an important one.

The world is far too full of judgy types.

So, my gift to all of you beautiful, unique, unrivalled, superb and unforgettable people is, how are you all doing?

Merry "Seagull Day", a nice Christmas story.

"My Mom Canceled Christmas And Invented A New Holiday. We Doubted Her At First — But Now It’s Our Favorite Day.", Amy McHugh,

"A decade ago, my mother announced we were no longer celebrating Christmas. Instead, we’d celebrate Seagull Day. I was sure she’d seen it on Pinterest.

'No, no,' she said. 'It’s something I thought up all on my own. We are going to decorate a tree with stale food from the cabinet and leave it for the seagulls to eat. Those guys must get hungry in winter when there aren’t any sandwiches to steal out of people’s hands.' "

This is a nice and happy family story, fit for the holiday season.

The human spirit is indomitable, reaching up and out to goodness, hope, beauty, life, and light.

Deep inside, there is a drive and desire for something better -- far better, and more real -- than what we are told to expect and strive for.

It's December! My favourite month!

I get to see my family who are spread across the country, I get to add another year on my age when people ask how old I am, I get to eat so much wonderful food that's created to delight, and I can finally give people the gifts I've got them throughout the year.

On Sunday we get the tree. On Monday the place gets decorated.

Hellooooo Christmaaaaas!
