Seascape, watercolor. The beach is my happy place and one of my favorite things to paint. In this watercolor, two seagulls circle the ocean below looking for a snack. The day is calm as waves roll onto shore creating foam and spray as they reach their crescendo. You can almost hear the call of the birds and the waves and smell the salt in the air.

Dragonflies seem like magical creatures to me, with their gossamer wings and long bodies. I can't help but feel I'm being visited by something enchanted whenever they wiz by. Some say, if one lands on you, it's good luck.

Watercolor octopus. Have you ever watched the Netflix movie "My Octopus Teacher?" If not, I strongly encourage you to do so. Such a beautiful portrait of man and octopus becoming friends. I'll warn you though, you may cry at the end.

Quiet inlet of water, oil painting. I just returned from a visit with my dentist. Evidently the tooth pain I've been feeling is because I've been clenching my jaw. I guess the good news is I don't need a root canal, just better ways to relax. This painting is tranquility on a canvas for me.
