"The strategy utilised by the Zionist Establishment within Jewish communities and outside these communities, particularly, in the United States, England, France, Germany and Australia is to engage in an intentional falsification of history and contemporary reality when it comes to the supposedly intractable conflict between Israel and the Palestinians."

"As the world witnessed in the case of the destruction of the highly probable victory of Jeremy Corbyn becoming British Prime Minister, these campaigns of destroying opponents of Israeli ethnic cleansing have been extremely potent and successful.
@DropBear@palestine@israel I remember reading about the smearing and destruction of Jeremy Corbyn's campaign for PM in December 2019. I was absolutely livid at the media and the lobby that destroyed him. π‘
I cannot logically discuss Israel/Gaza with people who believe this atrocity began with Hamas war crimes on 10/7.
If you ignore a 60 year illegal military occupation, 700K illegal settlements, a two decade blockade, 7000 Palestinians indefinitely detained in Israeli prison w/o charge, 800 Palestinian children indefinitely detained in Israeli prison w/o charge & denied access to counsel or parents, & at least 240 Palestinians killed by IDF from 1/1-10/6/23βthen you are not engaging in good faith
@QasimRashid Neither can I. Some of us have relatives who are concerned about us "kids" who can't just turn off our emotions about a genocide of people we care about. I'll add that some of us are a mix of Western and Middle Eastern, which makes it hard to not get angry and upset.
Watching the bear vs man in forest stories & I remember when our 9-year-old son said some boys at recess offered to play with him if 'he hugged & kissed a girl.'
He replied, "No, that's inappropriate," & told us he didn't mind not being able to play with those boys after all. Later his teacher shared she was happy he stood up to peer pressure.
Y'allβit's never too early to teach boys about consent & boundaries. Have the convo. Then again. And again. Boys will be the boys we teach them to be.
Columbia's website cites the 1968 violence it deployed against students and triumphantly declares, "Columbia is a far different place today than it was in the spring of 1968."
Columbia's actions tonight, 56 years to the day, to once again deploy police against students protesting war, prove otherwise.
@QasimRashid For real. However, according to one of my parents, who has seen it all before from the middle to late 1960s and early 1970s, it was much worse during the 1968 DNC Convention and Kent State in 1970. π
@QasimRashid Damn those outside agitators! π‘ The same thing happened to the Black Lives Matter movement in that outside agitators got the protests shut down, too.
Eid Mubarak! Sending my love to all Muslims worldwideβincluding Uighurs, Palestinians, & Rohingya through horrific genocide, Afghans under brutal oppression, Yemenis through abject poverty, & Sudanese through deadly civil war.

One of the worldβs worst humanitarian crises is unfolding before our eyes. Media is largely ignoring it. Please raise your voice to ensure the people of Sudan are not forgotten. #keepeyesonsudan#justice

MI GOP Rep Tim Walberg, on Gaza:
βWe shouldnβt be spending a dime on humanitarian aid. It should be like Nagasaki & Hiroshima. Get it over quick.β
The 2,000-pound bombs, which can inflict damage to people up to 300 metres (1,000 feet) away, have been linked to previous mass-casualty events throughout Israelβs military campaign in Gaza.

Last night, the result didnβt go our way. We are disappointed, but not regretful. It has truly been a privilege to run in the district in which I grew up. Each of you trusted in me, and I will be forever grateful. Because you have made all the difference.
I don't have the words to express my gratitude to each of you, but let me try by sharing some thoughts...
@ryanhoulihan I've never been a fan of The Atlantic at all. Its articles still smack of that "natives weren't ready for democracy" mentality, regarding the Middle East.
