@Linux I think it's a miracle that they managed to finish this game at all. And I'm sure they have burned through the Kickstarter money years ago. It has probably cost them a few times over. That, of course, is not an excuse. It's an explanation.
I know this sucks, so I'd expect the game to work on Linux without issues thanks to Proton. Nightdive is doing a lot of great things for gamers, especially bringing back many classics. I don't think this is done out of malice. Still - a broken promise.
Even though the game is not narrated, the background story is dark and deep. Gris is a journey, starting from losing your voice, getting suffocated and feeling shattered and ending with you finding your own voice, getting all the pieces together and loving yourself more. You are not the enemy.
Recently picked up Phasmophobia. Honestly, it's kind of a perfect game for me. I love the premise, the game loop, the mystery. The match based setup makes it so freaking replayable.
Gotta say though... The scariest thing in that game is the economy. Even without dying I just find the cash flow is so freaking slow.
I see people with their fully decked out trailers and I can't help but cringe at the thought of them dying. They'd lose so much freaking money.
@MsHearthWitch I'm usually a single player game kinda gal, but my kid roped me into playing with them. It's fun getting spooked and trying to solve each case as a group... even if it means I have to go in alone while the kid sits in the truck and just watches me running for my life on the cameras... brat 😋
I am looking forward to Paper Mario Thousand Year Door remake soon. Also looking at getting it with a game voucher and maybe trying out Pokemon Arceus. #Gaming#NintendoSwitch
@Klumpmeister Scarlet and Violet were an overall disappointment in terms of performance and somewhat bland open world! They squandered a chance to make trainer levels scale dynamically to keep battles fresh. I found myself over-leveled and mostly unchallenged. The Elite Four and a few trainers made me think strategically and challenged me. Overall, they could’ve tried harder with that game duo!
