I'm very excited how nice the colors pop! Custom fabric prints sometimes end up quite dull but this one is just fabulous! And I even have a few meters left. Maybe I'll add a skirt!
I really enjoyed the whole process from mixing the cyanotype solution, coating the paper, scanning the leaves and finally pen plotting 🌿 #plotterdon#plottertoot
My cheap collision detection finds the nearest point on the ellipse to the ball center and if that point is inside the ball, it bounces. Fast balls can go from one side on one frame to the other on the next without touching the edge, tunneling through.
The hacky fix adds more physics updates. The "right" fix intersects their motion line with the edge, but that requires messier, slower math.
@seblammers brilliant! Nice try. My triangles are much bigger. 3cm so that makes it easier. I've seen people buy bags of large flat pencil erasers and carve those. That might make a better mark.
@nervous_jessica was looking at this picture again. This morning and the pattern on the floor reminds me of The Logrus from Roger Zelazny’s Amber novels .
More so if the image is reversed (I flip things along a 4th dimension all the time to get a fuller view)
@ngons@Supposenot It's not actually as interesting as I had thought it might be. (Is it more interesting with spheres and tubes? Maybe the tetrahedron is just not interesting.)
