For me there are a few people who are usually equalizing, and I can just be around them, so I won't count that. But generally, I find about 3 times a week, I'm game for socializing. A day in between to rest is usually nice, but the larger the gathering or if we go somewhere particularly noisy or I'm meeting new people that involves more effort, and my social battery empties sooner. I'm very curious where everyone else falls on this!

I was signing and yelling he should put his phone down and open his eyes, didn't take much of his car would have enjoyed the frame of my bike
Seemed like a "though businessman" or perhaps even a diplomat with foreign licence who did like he "owned the place" but not when I'm around

At some point, my purse became a walking pharmacy. Stomach upset, got a headache? I have you covered. Need bug spray or sunscreen, what about some lotion or hand sanitizer? I've got a snack, and something to freshen your breath.
When I had surgery a few years ago, I had a weight limit of 10 pounds for 3 months! Hubs said he needed to weigh my purse to make sure I could safely carry it. I thought he was joking, turns out it weighed 17 pounds!
@RickiTarr My wife has two modes: Small clutch with cards and such, or backpack full of crap, including the clutch.
Our kids are grown and out of the house, and I am a reasonably self-sufficient adult. I have no idea why she still needs backpack mode, but I'm afraid to bring it up. There be dragons!
A DDOS against the Internet Archive has commenced again, timed for maximum pain for the California staff to deal with. (I don't sleep, but I also can't do anything on the infrastructure here.)
So, we're down until people wake up to deal with the constant DOOS against us because... reasons
Voting alone won't be sufficient. And if we ever had politicians bold enough heed the will of the people on popular issues at all levels we'd find new obstacles would arise.
But voting can make a huge difference in the conditions we try to make these changes under. And the culture around popular control of government is a good start for the wider idea that people ought to generally have some say in the way things they participate in are run.

Je sais que leur vies seront différentes, je sais que certains petits luxes leur seront inaccessibles, je sais qu'ils ne verront certainement pas certains coins de mon enfance car sous l'eau ou fondus, je sais que la question de la santé, de la mobilité, de la pertinence d'un travail, de milles choses en fait aura évoluée d'ici à ce qu'ils soient adultes (en bien ou mal). 1/2
@Ockham@vincib@nitot je sais que trier ses déchets est un moindre mal, je sais aussi que ça n'empêche pas les avions de décoller, les grosses boîtes de la tech de générer du CO2 et pomper de la flotte pour les IA, les pétroliers de tabler sur la fonte des glaciers pour ouvrir de nouvelles voies aux tankers, les constructeurs auto de convertir à l'électrique en sachant que le renouvellement complet n'est structurellement pas envisageable. Tout est politique, le personnel est politique, mais au bout d'un moment, si il n'y a que des petits gestes, il n'y a pas d'impact sur les causes, justes des arrangements à la marge. 2/2
@Camille_Poulsard j’y ai vécu aussi, ainsi qu’à Belfort. Mon aînée travaille à l’hôpital mais elle habite du côté de Saint-Vit, je vais moins souvent en ville, j’y suis généralement pour garder les enfants, c’est peu propice au tourisme. J’espère aller faire un tour aux Salines d’Arc et Senans cette année.

Covid erhöht das Risiko von Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen. Die Impfung fängt das zu einem beträchtlichen Teil ab. Aktuelle Zahlen:

Ich (und auch einige andere) lauf schlicht seit ~4 Jahren mit Maske rum, meide Innenräume, und hatte seitdem nicht einmal einen Schnupfen (statt den üblichen 3-4 pro Jahr früher).
Zusätzlich testen wir uns vor (und oft nach) Treffen gründlich.
Ich bin "ziemlich" sicher, dass ich keine einzige SARS-CoV-2 Infektion und definitiv nicht viele Reinfektionen hatte.
@HolgerPieta das Problem ist die Dauer so ner Studie. Das kann schon mal zwei Jahre dauern, bis die Ergebnisse da und publiziert sind. D.h. erste Daten zu den Auffrischungen würd ich so innerhalb der nächsen paar Monate erwarten, frühestens.
Wobei ich ohnehin die Erwartungshaltung auch nicht verstehe, dass die Impfung bitte perfekt zu schützen hätte.

That claim is most likely an exaggeration capabilities wise:
ICNs are capable of 8° physical tilt, which allows 270-300 mm of cant deficiency at the bogie (1.77-1.96 m/s² unbalanced lateral acceleration respectively), of which you feel 100 or 130 mm onboard (0.65 or 0.85 m/s²).
Conventional trains are permitted to 150 mm of cant deficiency in France (other usual limits are 130 mm and 100 mm).
@djasa@jon this doc [0] says cant deficiency can reach 160mm under usual constraints, and up to 180mm in specific cases (with special approvals I assume)
