Also still listening to The Twyford Code. Also getting pretty intense. I'm a little stuck in my current chapter because I'm afraid an innocent person is going to be hurt. :-(

I write fantasy novels with a touch of science fiction full of deep, immersive worlds, powerful characters, and magic that’s as organic as running or speaking. I draw a lot on #ecology with my secondary world setting, and I re-imagine traditional fantasy, building each culture from the ground up including #linguistics .
My stories often feature fierce sibling relationships, found family, strong friendships and light in the darkness.
What won’t you find? Very many swords, kingdoms, or knights.

About ANYWHERE BUT SCHUYLKILL: In 1877, twenty Irish coal miners hanged for a terrorist conspiracy that never occurred. Anywhere But Schuylkill is the story of one who escaped, Mike Doyle, a teenager trying to keep his family alive during the worst depression the nation has ever faced. Banks and railroads are going under. Children are dying of hunger. The Reading Railroad has slashed wages and hired Pinkerton spies to infiltrate the miners’ union. And there is a sectarian war between rival gangs. But none of this compares with the threat at home.
My hot take on one of my biggest #bookish pet peeves - YA should be labeled 'Teen', not 'Young Adult'. It's extremely confusing, it's the reason why YA ends up mixed in with NA smut in stores, by definition it's unclear; Young adult means late teens to early-mid 20s, and by that definition non-readers assume 'young ADULT' means someone of age. There really needs to be a clear differentiation between NA and YA.
