By refusing to tax corporations, and refusing to raise the cap on income that is taxable for Social Security, the republicans are purposefully trying to bankrupt the US.
Corporate taxes should be at least as much as individual income taxes, if not moreso.
And there is absolutely no excuse for cutting social safety net programs when corporations clearly are not paying anywhere near their fair share of taxes. Not even close.

I don't always agree with Robert Reich, but today's newsletter struck a chord with me. He makes some excellent suggestions on what to do rather than just seethe with rage or fall into apathy. This year's election is crucial for us all. We need to recognize this and act accordingly.
Don't waste time trying to convert or understand hardened GOP cult members. They are a minority of voters. It's far more important to make sure everyone else doesn't sit this one out and votes responsibly. Our democracy is in our hands.

Interesting. Are people so wrapped up in stories that they only react or take action if something moves them emotionally rather than intellectually?
@ThomHartmann builds a pretty strong case for that position though I would hope that the accomplishments of the Biden/Harris administration would break through as a "good story" worth continuing. The alternative would hurt the vast majority of us.
