Ich persönlich nutze @signalapp nur für nicht so "wichtige" Themen, denn ganz privat nehme ich ein wenig anders war. Nicht das dies schlecht ist aber sich bewusst sein wie anonym welcher Chat ist und für was Mensch welchen nutzt. Abgesehen davon nutze ich "die Grossen üblichen" von den Konzernen nicht.
#Followerpower. Die Überarbeitung der Messenger-Matrix ist nun vollständig abgeschlossen. Über einen Tipp/Klick auf Teilen würde ich mich riesig freuen, damit sich die Messenger-Übersicht (weiter) verbreitet. ❤️ 👍

@unifiedpush I love the concept of UnifiedPush, and indeed I use it with Element on #GrapheneOS with no Google anything installed (and thus no Google-powered push notifications).
However, Signal's push notifications work flawlessly on this same device, so clearly they handle their own notifications (and do a good job of it).
So, other than #notifications, what's the benefit to the end user of Molly over #Signal?

Abhörhintertürchen inklusive.

Hurra! Das Thema #Chatkontrolle und #verschlusselung geht dank #Spanien in die nächste Runde. Laut geleakter Dokumente wird sich Spanien für ein EU-weites Verbot von #EndezuEndeVerschlüsselung einsetzen. Da wird das #eugh als letzte Instanz sicherlich viel Arbeit vor sich haben.

is anyone else experiencing the problem of Signal just like… eating messages? I will send a message, then come back to the #signal app some minutes later and the message isn’t there at all
I don't want to give #signal access to my contacts, yet every time it asks me I can say "yes" or "not now" and if I click "not now" it just says "we'll remind you later"

If you need the extra #Security, something like #Signal is absolutely the way to go. But if «good #Privacy and decent security» is sufficient, I recommend #Telegram.
Why?
To me, saying people should avoid Telegram’s default server encryption is a bit like saying someone’s stupid for not wearing a helmet while driving.
I mean, there's no denying wearing a helmet is more secure! But unless you’re a race car driver, wearing "just" a seat belt is probably enough.
Is it (still) worth trying to switch my family and friends from WhatsApp to Signal? (Read all of it, please.)
