As someone who hasn't played a lot of #Skyrim in the past and just started again a couple of days ago. Holy shit this game is buggy! And I'm not even talking about the original release, I'm talking about the Special Edition from 2016. #gaming#linuxgaming#SteamDeck#rpg#pcgaming
I could never get into #Skyrim. Tried multiple times. Bounced off of #Fallout 3 and 4. I figured if anything could pull me in it'd be #Starfield. Fell off after a handful of hours. It just wasn't scratching the #NoMansSky itch. It was too compartmentalized to feel like space exploration. A bunch of small maps. Like a fast travel simulator. Tried #OuterWorlds & really enjoyed the first planet. Then lost momentum. It looks like I am just not a #Bethesda style #RPG kinda guy.
James is Rimming*. He just approached three enormous, taller than a person, free-standing dildos with face-sized holes in at face height, looked at them briefly, then walked away. I do not get this game.
*sorry, not sorry, but this is what I will always call "playing #Skyrim"
Mushrooms that glow in dark, found in Brazil and Vietnam. Glow is result of an interaction between a compound called luciferin and luciferase enzyme in presence of oxygen. There are roughly 80 species of bioluminescent fungi scattered throughout the world.
History of fungal bioluminescence begins with Aristotle in 4th Century BC. For almost two millennia, this incredible phenomenon remained little studied in the literature. #Fungi
Meanwhile, tonight's favorite Skyrim screenshot, from my current experimenting with the Gate to Sovngarde collection. This collection includes the Alternate Perspective mod, which lets you see the opening scenario in Helgen as a bystander, rather than the usual way of being one of the prisoners on the cart.
Only, weeeeeeell, one of these carts had some ISSUES, as you can see. :D
I wonder how many foragers, entomologists, mycologists, or botanists exist thanks to the Oblivion/Skyrim to foraging pipeline. 😅
When I'm checking out random insects and plants, or photographing a new mushroom, it's really hard for me to ignore the impulsive thought of... "I better grab this for later alchemical uses."
Today's #pixel_dailies prompt was "tomb", so I pixelled a Dwemer-style door that would befit a tomb entrance. Been on an #ESO kick lately, so this felt appropriate.
If your list of "Must Have Mods (for game XYZ)" generates a thumbnail with a pinup version of an NPC or MC then no, none of those mods on your list are must-haves by any definition.
In which Kendeshel retrieves a lost journal in Sunderstone Gorge; becomes thane in Falkreath; acquires land and begins building Lakeview Manor; follows clues in a journal to visit a runestone and a shrine; meets the mysterious figure who stole the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller, and agrees to travel to Kynesgrove with her to slay a dragon; and last but not least, has all her plans upended when she is captured by slavers and dragged off to a secret Dunmer settlement beneath Skyrim, where she is sold to a Telvanni wizard.
Contains major spoilers for the start of the Project AHO Skyrim mod. Proceed with caution if you think you might want to play this mod!
Dans #Skyrim j'ai craft et enchanté un item qui vaut 28000 pièces d'or. Je suis supposée en faire quoi maintenant mdr ???? Le max d'or d'un marchant c'est genre 6k
Hey you guys, I actually wrote some prose! Even though I have some very mixed feelings about how Project AHO's plotline ends, it actually rattled my brain hard enough that this scene fell out. I consider this my headcanon for how a certain critical part of the plot played out, even though the mod didn't actually let me do this. Enjoy.
I may've just found an actual use case for the galaxy-brain "make swap a RAM disk" take I throw out there as a gag occasionally.
Anna's trying to run a massive #Skyrim modstock in a Windows VM on her 32G Apple Silicon Macbook Pro and the VM won't let her allocate more than 8G of RAM for the machine unless she moves to the subscription-model version of Parallels. (see also: enshittification)
But it's not a lack of actual RAM that's the issue, it's VM-vendor-imposed artificial scarcity.
So if you're gonna have to swap... but you have all the RAM you need... why not make swap a RAM disk?
